Trump is Finally Acting His Age
Watch this clip and tell me Trump is well.
He was unable to lift a glass of water to his mouth with one hand and he walked down the ramp as if he were inebriated.

Re: Trump is Finally Acting His Age
You know, lately I've begun to think that maybe Trump, being the massive f-uckup that he is, is the best thing to happen to America. Maybe we needed this kick in the ass. Just think about the way he's shone a light on racism, political corruption, the rule of law, and the importance of a decent media. People are moved to act against his bulls-hit.
It's like America is having a heart attack, and soon it'll recover and rethink its lifestyle (assuming Biden doesn't f-uck things up and lose the election).
Feeling optimistic tonight. Beer is good.

I am of the firm belief that under the pressure of the pandemic and the current civil strife and unrest, he's floundering for all the world to see. Think about the stuff he said about the virus in the beginning. Think of what he said during the Covid-19 Task Force briefings...bleach? There are more screw ups in the past few months than any of us could possibly list here and they just keep coming. Some Schmo wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 5:33 amYou know, lately I've begun to think that maybe Trump, being the massive f-uckup that he is, is the best thing to happen to America. The stunt with the Bible was a major turn off to believers and non-believers alike. The man gave a speech prior to his walk wherein he claimed that he stood with peaceful protesters and as the words were leaving his lying lips the sound of flash bangs could be heard in the background just blocks away because he had peaceful protesters descended upon by cops in freaking riot gear to part the waters for his Biblical photo op. A photo op where he held up the Bible like he was auctioning off a Trump steak and he said not one word. Not. one. word. Not one word about Mr. Floyd's death. Not one word about peace or unity. Or hope. Or reassurance.
The man had tanks rolling down streets in DC. He had a wall built around himself and the White House, showing what an inept coward he really is.
He hasn't said one sincere word of condolence or comfort to the nation regarding the death of George Floyd. Not one word that inspired unity. Instead he used Mr. Floyd's name in a stupid self-promo about the economy, disrespectfully calling him 'George' and saying how he was looking down and how it was a happy day for 'George'. The miserable lowlife. .
And think about this, too. In the middle of all this and when summer sporting events, concerts, and festivals have been cancelled due to Covid-19 and medical warnings not to hold huge gatherings where people are crammed into those spaces, what does the so-called sitting President do? He plans to go to Tulsa so he can promote himself for re-election in a venue that holds 19K people on Juneteenth. This, on the heels of Mr. Floyd's death and in the midst of on-going anti-racism protests all over the world.
I'd like to think that people are simultaneously pissed off and disgusted. We've not had this many reasons coming at us so fast that they cannot be ignored. Cases of Covid-19 continue to rise nationwide while he denies it. Grocery stores are low on stock because the supply chain was wiped out early on. People can't pay their bills. Many have not returned to work and businesses have collapsed under the weight of restrictions. Our cities are swelling with peaceful protesters (and some groups taking advantage, I'll admit) but this is far different from the 60's because whites and blacks are marching together in en masse.
And all Trump can do is put his foot down refusing to re-name military bases and tweet-yell about 'LAW AND ORDER!!'
Because he's incapable of doing anything else. His only emergent skill in crisis is to turn up the volume when an empathetic and understanding unifying response of inspiration is required. I just hope and pray that enough of America has had enough to boot him out of office come November. I think he's maxed out his welcome. He's reached his out-of-touch-with-reality expiration date. The writing is on the wall and I think he knows it.
“Certainly, if I don't win, I don't win,” he told Fox News’ Harris Faulkner in an interview that aired Friday. If he doesn’t win the election, Trump continued, “you go on, do other things.”
We'll see...

“Final ten feet I ran down to level ground.”
This fuckin’guy. Not a day goes by where he doesn’t lie about anything and everything. Jesus Christ it’s insufferable.
That said I think I get the aging thing and going downhill. My wife and I hiked this today:
https://www.google.com/maps/place/Mt+Wi ... 4?hl=en-US
And on our way back we reeeeeeally took our time on the steeper parts of the trail where loose dirt and gravel presented a persistent danger for a tumble. Back in the day I’m sure we would’ve just loped down the trail.
Anyway. I dunno why he just didn’t cop to his age and made a joke out of it. I suppose his pathological narcissism prevents self-deprication.

What the heck is that a 7K elevation? :surprised: These days I get crazy about even the smallest gravelly/clay surfaces where I used to climb and descend them with confidence, because I don't trust my own muscles any more.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 6:34 pm“Final ten feet I ran down to level ground.”

Beautiful! At 61, I definitely have to go slower on trails I used to cruise on.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 6:34 pm“Final ten feet I ran down to level ground.”

He lacks Regan’s ability to do what you suggest.

My God! He actually tweeted that!! I just checked:

He actually noticed that people were talking about his weird gait, and in his usual way thought that the best thing to do was to keep this pot boiling with a really implausible sounding excuse.Donald J. Trump

The ramp that I descended after my West Point Commencement speech was very long & steep, had no handrail and, most importantly, was very slippery. The last thing I was going to do is “fall” for the Fake News to have fun with. Final ten feet I ran down to level ground. Momentum!
Of course West Point gave the President a slippery ramp to walk down, and the Secret Service agents who checked out the site didn't notice. Of course.
We may also note his obvious difficulty walking down a slope in 2017, when he awkwardly seized hold of then UK Prime Minister Theresa May's hand:
