I always think the biggest thing that defines Trump is the fact that his lifelong con has been financially backed by his father. He could be the worst conman in the world and still gets bailed out. I think that gives him a sense that he is much better at conning people than he actually is.

What makes Trump particularly stupid is that he thinks his awful con game is applicable in every situation, and doesn't have any other moves. He thinks he can con the world into buying his immensely flawed perspective, and it frustrates him when it doesn't work. Layer on top of that his inability to read, focus, and learn, not to mention his attraction to conspiracy theories (probably because he thinks they help his various bulls-hit stories), and you've got an imbecilic tyrant in a teacup.

Trump isn't just flat earth stupid. He's flat earth Dunning Kruger stupid.

Afghan contractor Rahmatullah Azizi was named in a U.S. intelligence report as one of the key middlemen who delivered cash from Russia’s GRU to the Taliban to target American troops.

This is not a hoax. The President is just a liar.

One of the weird things about Trump being so allergic to criticism of Putin despite being an insult machine to just about anything and everything is that it'd be less suspicious if he just pretended to have disputes with Putin from time to time.

I really do hope I live to find out what the hell Putin has on Trump, because he obviously has something big (at least, big to Trump). Is it just money? Or maybe something to do with his kids? Does he just have the ability to embarrass him (pee tape)?

Yeah, it's weird.

Yeah, it's weird.
You mean the phony dossier used by the deep state to get a FISA warrant?
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Something goes funny if you find the story and try to link to it.

Anyway. I Googled "nydaily news Russia bounty killed", and got:
FDNY firefighter killed in Afghanistan may have died because of alleged Russian bounty scheme
By JOHN ANNESE
NEW YORK DAILY NEWS |
JUN 30, 2020 AT 9:28 PM

Christopher Slutman, a father of three and a U.S. Marine reservist assigned to Ladder 27 in the Bronx, was killed by a car bomb near the Bagram Air Base in April 2019.

The mother of Robert Hendriks, a Marine corporal also killed in that attack, has called for an investigation into whether the Taliban fighters who killed her son targeted him for Russian money.

“The parties who are responsible should be held accountable, if that’s even possible,” Felicia Arcuelo, who lives on Long Island, told CNBC Monday.

Slutman’s family did not return messages seeking comment Tuesday night.

The New York Times first reported that information on the alleged Russian bounty operation was included several months ago in Trump’s presidential daily briefing, setting off a controversy over whether the president looked the other way and even floated the idea of inviting Russian president Vladimir Putin to rejoin the G7.

The White House denies the president was briefed, and Trump tweeted that U.S. intelligence officials did not believe the plot to be credible. On Tuesday, the Times reported American officials intercepted data showing a large amount of funds were transferred from an account controlled by Russia’s military intelligence agency to a Taliban-linked account.

Slutman joined the FDNY in 2003 and was a proud member of the FDNY Emerald Society. assigned as a staff sergeant in Afghanistan “for some time” sources said.

He began his FDNY career at Ladder Company 17 in the South Bronx, where in June 2004, he and his colleagues rescued three mewing kittens swept into a storm drain during rainfall.

In 2013, Slutman and another firefighter pulled an unconscious woman from a burning apartment in a South Bronx high rise. He received the FDNY’s Fire Chiefs Association Memorial Medal for his heroics.

Slutman is survived by his wife Shannon and their three daughters.

There's no particular link between this soldier and a Russian bounty - but there must be quite a few other families of soldiers killed in Afghanistan asking the same question.
