kudos to you, Jersey Girl, for working hard and taking responsibility at such a young age.
And, thanks, Lemmie. I did what I felt I had to do to get some money going for myself and take some of the burden off my single parent mother. I never took so much s-hit from the general public as I did working that job!

My first ever job was minimum wage, during the holiday season I worked well over 50 hours a week while going to school. I lied about my age to get that job. I never once expected anyone to hand me anything. I went out and got it for myself.
50 hours a week and going to school is impressive, but it doesn't mean there are no consequences in the future, especially if you work a lot for years. I am not against overtime work, I can handle it, but I really hate it when it is mandatory and your boss doesn't tell you with enough time in advance.

Do you think a President Sanders would have ended mandatory Old Testament? If so, explain to me the concrete steps that would have made that happen.
I don't know, but the first step is to end corporate money and lobbying in politics. Biden will not campaign against it, he promised that nothing would change if elected. He is a corporatist.

DT, how does Trump feel about Mandatory Old Testament? Which candidate do you think would be more amenable to working to increase health and safety standards?
Biden is better than Trump I agree, but nothing is going to change.

50 hours a week and going to school is impressive, but it doesn't mean there are no severe consequences in the future, especially if you work a lot for years. I am not against overtime work, I can handle it, but I really hate it when it is mandatory and your boss doesn't tell you with enough time in advance.
Why do you hate it when it's mandatory and the boss doesn't give you enough advance notice? You got something better to do than make money right now? A business isn't a catering service there to serve you. You are there to serve IT for whatever it is they pay you.

And, that was only my first job when I was in high school long before dirt was invented. I've had many jobs over the years. I learned something from every single job that pushed me forward into other jobs. I almost always took classes while working part and full time jobs.

Your job isn't a convenience. It's a necessity. I can NOT believe that you are bitching about having whatever job you do have or getting overtime. I am making assumptions about your age right now, but if I am even close in thinking how old you are, now is the time you should be furthering your education, working your ass off, and building your future.

You have to REACH for what you want, DT. No one is going to hand you success. It doesn't work like that.

When he said that nothing will change to what did he refer? Did he specify?

Would it be okay for businesses to reopen with no social distance requirements? Health doesn't matter right? Making money is more important.

I understand, I could be bitching about a lot of things, but I am not. My point is that overtime work is killing a lot of people, including young people in their 20s. I can handle overtime right now because I am healthy, but it doesn't mean it is not killing people and it doesn't mean there are no health consequences in the future. It is irrelevant that Old Testament is not affecting my health right now. You are missing my point.

What the hell does that have to do with you complaining about not enough overtime advance notice?

Try poverty for a consequence.
Should things go back to normal to prevent poverty?

A lot of workers doing Old Testament are not living in poverty. Many professionals have to work overtime, and they don't make it to 60.

Working overtime may increase obesity risk.
