On the subject of the book, I'm off-put by a credentialed clinical psychologist putting her discipline to work on a political candidate she's had an acrimonious personal relationship and legal dispute with. Something's obviously deeply wrong with Donald Trump, and no doubt there are juicey anecdotes family members might have access to, but this seems so compromised by potential sources of bias that it comes off in poor taste.
This is how I look at it. I don't 100% buy what she's selling but she's as close as we're ever going to get to a psych eval by someone with insight into the family dynamics and what made Trump into the person we see daily flash across our screen with one shocking and divisive offense after another seemingly with no conscience at all.

Besides our own observations, she's really all we've got.

Which means you got your own observations....well that and the smell of desperation spewing from thine hair fire.

I have more confidence that Trump has a cluster B personality disorder than clients I see who have diagnosed cluster B personality disorders and that's an area of professional expertise for me. Don't confuse my distaste for the professional ethics of this book with a belief that Trump's problems are just a black box.

I completely understand. As to a cluster B personality disorder, check off all of them and you got a deal, buddy. ;-)

Remember when I used to pray for his success as President? I still pray for him but not in the same way. Now every day when I decide to get online I usually think well, let's see what that dirty little bastard did today. He never disappoints!
Obviously you know I don't pray, but forget that.

I find myself amused by this claim every time I hear it (and I've heard it a surprising number of times from several people). To say that you pray for Trump to do well shows an incredibly undeserved optimism. To me, it's like praying for your amputated arm to grow back. It ain't happening. The prayer (more than others) amounts to an expressed wish. I don't see the point.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.
