99.96% survival rate for people diagnosed as being infected with COVID-19?

Can we have a a respectable scientific medical source for that?

You have 3.4% of sufferers dying, quite apart from those with significant long-term consequences, who will obviously be a large number that those who die. Ajax's favorite physician has the TOTAL of deaths and significant long-term consequences at 0.2%, since the other 99.8% get through free of any problems.

Hmm, hard to tell who to believe ... nope. Not really.

Even if 3.4% of cases result in death, shutting down the economy to the extent that was done was not even remotely worth it. From what I've heard there's a good chance you can get this stuff again, just like the flu. What's going to happen when the virus mutates and we get the same thing next year? Are we going to shut down again? It'll be every year just like the flu only this time instead of just 3.4% of people dying and a large number of us getting mildly sick for a week, we'll get to do it while living in terrible poverty and economic deprivation!

I honestly hope the Democrats change their tune on annual economic shutdowns once they have the presidency and both houses of congress but I'm not holding my breath. Sadly Trump's 4 years of making America great again was just a lapse in the steady decline of the US empire and the beginning of the dark ages. I predicted we were on our way to becoming a banana republic on this board years ago. Unless these polls turn out to be a big scam as they were in 2016, I'm afraid I won't be proven wrong.
