"Our lawsuit charges the NRA as a whole and four senior leaders, including Wayne LaPierre, with failing to manage the NRA’s funds and failing to follow numerous state and federal laws.
These actions contributed to the loss of more than $64 million in just three years for the NRA."

If you go through the various Twitter feeds you'll see people listing the various fraudulent and illegal use of contributions by NRA leadership. Boy, this going to energize the Second Amendment folks.

Lol. I've noticed we occasionally post the same currents events. What are your thoughts about the timing of all this? I think this will became a hot topic issue for the Second Amendment folks and will energize a good portion of them to pull the lever for Trump despite the clear and overwhelming evidenced the NRA is essentially a criminal syndicate at this point.

BLM burning down towns and threatening motorists and pedestrians is more motivation than anyone might need, especially given the efforts to defund the police.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

How long are you going to continue sticking your head in the sand and refusing to understand what is really happening? No one is advocating literally cutting off all funding for police, least of all Joe Biden.
What the "defund the police" conversation is all about is taking away functions from the police that should never have been assigned to police in the first place, like mental health services, social welfare services and mediating domestic disputes.
QUESTIONS
1. Does Joe Biden support defunding the police?
2. Would defunding the police slow 911 response times?
ANSWERS
1. No, Joe Biden does not support defunding the police.
2. Not necessarily.
EXPLANATION
The ad begins with an elderly woman hearing a burglar breaking in. She tries to call 911, but instead of someone picking up, there's a recorded message.
11Alive received several emails from viewers questioning the claims in the 30-second ad by the Trump 2020 campaign, claims like this one:
"Joe Biden said he's absolutely on board with defunding the police."
The on-screen text, however, quotes a headline saying the Democratic nominee wants to reduce police funding. The distinction in what you hear versus what you read in the ad is important, as Biden has been pretty clear on record concerning his stance on this.
Let's take a look at the source given in this ad: Joe Biden remarks, July 8.
That likely comes from this interview posted on that date with activist Ady Barkan, with the digital media site Now This News.
"But do we agree that we can redirect some of the funding?" she asks.
"Yes, absolutely," Biden answers.
In the 27-minute-long interview, Biden lays out a plan to redirect some police funding to other state-run departments to help with mental health resources, aid for direct access to police records, and tracking misconduct charges.
According to the AP, that same day, Biden also told reports: "We don't have to defund the police departments, we have to make sure they meet minimum basic standards of decency,"
This plan would not "defund" the police altogether, but rather redirect some department funding.
Biden echoed that position in an op-ed published in USA TODAY on June 10.
But what about the ad's claim that defunding the police would remove 911 call centers from their control– slowing emergency response times?
This one falls into a gray area of sorts. While some 911 centers get some of their funding from the police budget, in Georgia, nearly all 911 funding comes from a special fee charged to every phone line.
The Georgia Emergency Communications Authority, which was created because of 11Alive's investigation into problems with the 911 system, collects those fees and disperses them to 911 centers, along with millions in federal grants. All of that is earmarked for 911 – not police.
So, the idea of "defunding" the police would not necessarily slow 911 operator response times.
As for the BLM movement, surveys and polls have shown that a majority of Americans sympathize with that movement, and are disgusted with how often minorities, especially blacks are unfairly targeted and treated by police.
This has been pointed out to you often already, you just refuse to listen. Chris Wallace of Fox News has already pretty effectively debunked Trump's claims that Biden is in favor of defunding the police.

I highly doubt this issue will add anyone to Trump's base he doesn't already have.
Might energize some of them to vote, though, if they are actually stupid enough to think Trump can do something about it.

You would think the membership would be interested in the crazy and lavish spending that has been going on with the NRA leadership. Maybe Trump has dulled their curiosity regarding criminal activities.

I think you have hit upon a valid point here. Perhaps Trump's most lasting legacy will turn out to be widespread dulling of a just sense of outrage at corrupt, criminal and immoral behavior committed by our elected representatives.

I don't think anyone's senses have been dulled. I think what we're witnessing is a GOP base who no longer cares about appearing hypocritical/stupid. They can identify corruption no problem if a Democrat's doing it. They don't care about crime; they care about the political party who's reputation's at stake.
