Why are you asking me insincere questions, ajax?ajax18 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2020 1:47 amYou mean they'll actually have a debate before we vote? Will it be held from Biden's basement as well?I'm not thrilled with his choice but this much I am sure of. She'll mop the floor with bootlicker Pence in debate.
Will we only have the vice presidential candidates debate?

As a member of the middle do you really believe believe the current Democrat party doesn't hate cops and is tough on crime? You're centrist candidate is a puppet for the far left wing of your party. Those are his policies. He's too old and frail to resist them even if he wanted to do so. You might as well be voting for the Bolsheviks. They’re losing sight of the strategy here, which is to assure the Middle that the Democrats don’t hate cops and are ‘tough on crime.’
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

The first Presidential debate will be on September 29th. That will be before I get my ballot in the mail, which will be in October.

There is still a significant number of people early voting before the first debate even happens. The Democrats are scared to put Biden on stage which is odd given the Democrats always have their partisan team controlling the debates. The first Presidential debate will be on September 29th. Re: Biden vs. Trump
It's an indicator of how bad Trump is as President, Ajax. Incumbents have inherently strong advantages in elections for many reasons, not least being name recognition and association with the job by lower information voters. But that flips when people associate negative emotions and views to an incumbent's name. If he were even a moderately competent leader, having his opponent hampered by the Covid restrictions and running a relatively background campaign would be the best possible scenario for his reelection.
The idea Trump would expose Biden in debates is hype and marketing covering up the real reason right wing media is making debates a thing and the Trump campaign is wanting even more added: Trump needs to shake up the direction the election is going, which is essentially based on how people feel about the direction he's taken the country. You support him because you seem to like that direction. The debates aren't valuable to you as a voter, either. I don't know that even bad Biden debate performances would reverse things. What you should be hoping for is the country to right itself before November. It's what would genuinely give Trump an edge.

Do you really believe that's why Biden hasn't left his basement? Give me a break.having his opponent hampered by the Covid restrictions
The biggest thing wrong in this country was our foolish decision to shut down the economy. If voters are stupid enough to blame Trump for that then I guess we deserve the irreparable harm that Kamala Harris will do to the country. What you should be hoping for is the country to right itself before November.

I could be wrong...but it looks like Trump scheduled his briefing today to coincide with the first Biden-Harris briefing/appearance.

Thank you for posting that. While I admired Kamala Harris already for several reasons, until I read that piece I had some small reservations about her really being a great pick for VP (though certainly being almost infinitely better than Pence, or anyone else Trump Might have chosen). Now I think that Biden could hardly have picked anyone better. I congratulate her for the honor of being chosen, and Biden for having the good sense to choose her.Icarus wrote: ↑Tue Aug 11, 2020 11:17 pmDoctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Tue Aug 11, 2020 11:15 pmWhy do you think she’ll prevail in a debate with Pence?

She speaks well, and doesn't hold back. She's aggressive and has her facts in order. What I didn't know is that she's a progressive...

No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Jersey Girl,
Well. They literally had a book the Obama admin left them, but you know. 165,000 Americans dead and counting. I guess we should’ve just let nature run its course, allowed a couple million to die, and then we could get back to keeping the stock market high for the wealthy.
