Does anyone think or know if when we vote in a Presidential election that data is compiled that indicates if you voted for a Presidential candidate that is not running for the party you're registered with? I've done that many times regardless of what party I was registered with/as but never have thought of asking if that information is actually collected, compiled or used as an actual indicator if folks are voting outside their own party. In other words, voting trends.

Any ideas about that?
I don't know for sure because I've never worked on a campaign, but I do have an idea. If they have access to that data, they will store it.

But my suspicion is that most of that kind of data is derived from exit polling and extrapolated over the population.

Thanks. I have never cared when I voted across party lines which I have done numerous time as both a registered Democrat and registered Rep whether or not those statistics were complied and represented in a report of some kind. I care about it this election.

Biden simply nailed it. I've never cared so much about an election in my entire life as I do this year. And there are a lot of elections in my rear view mirror. I'll be ridin' with Biden. ;-)

Bonus shot: Biden digging the music that is definitely NOT of his generation. :-)

p.s. I love the responsible way the Democrat's handled their convention this year in light of the pandemic. Also appreciated that they allowed space afterwards for prayer from a diversity of faiths.

Trump has two major things going for him:

1, Worst President in US history.
2. Has told more documented lies than any leader in world history.

Agreed! Arguably the best speech of Biden's career. Certainly the best speech I ever heard him give! It may even have topped Obama's convention speech! What a sharp and welcome contrast from Trump's hateful, racist and deliberately divisive rally screeds and tweets. Every time Trump speaks or tweets he clearly reveals what a hateful, misanthropic monster he is to everyone other than his sycophantic, racist followers to whose darkest, basest and cruelest instincts and insecurities he deliberately appeals. Let me remind you all again of the
Stark contrast between Obama and Trump.
Obama -- serious and intellectual -- delivered a complex constitutional lecture on primetime television during the virtual Democratic National Convention. He summoned historic sweep, encompassing the Founders, the Civil Rights Movement, America's immigrant heritage and young Americans he called to action today to save their freedoms just as their ancestors had done every time the country's promise was imperiled.

Trump meanwhile, back at the White House, was rage-tweeting in real time in all-caps, flinging wild accusations and lies that, if anything, provided contemporaneous evidence of his predecessor's somber warnings.
I imagine that even Trump himself must have at least a dim awareness about how badly he is outclassed by Obama's intelligence, oratorical skills and just basic decency. This probably only enrages Trump all the more.
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Yeah, but that only endears him to his base. Will it be enough to capture the heartland?

Trump approval rating going into DNC 2020 was 47%
after DNC 2020, 51%.

Someone tell the Democrats they are doing it wrong.

You could have stopped here, but go ahead and prove it.
