That’s funny, because I watched a livestream of that very thing yesterday. The Proud Boys were repeatedly assaulted and simply defended themselves. They had crowbars thrown at them. They had those cement milkshakes thrown at them. They had hot motor oil sprayed on them. They’d only throw items back that were thrown at them, they’d only hit or mace someone when they were hit or maced, and they’d only strike someone when assaulted.

Look. I think they, the proud boys, are wackadoodles looking for a reason to ‘punch a commie in the face’. That’s why they went there. But again, we see Icarus’ totally and completely fabricated reality tailored to suit his narrative. It’s pretty disgusting at this point. I don’t know what to say - he supports the violent revolution being waged by some illiberal communists who are using useful idiots to attack the system. It is what it is.

Lance Vannoy Hemmert, all you're doing here is proving your own bias and need to believe a certain narrative, because there are tons of videos on Twitter showing quite the opposite. But weird how you can't seem to come across any of those. Its almost like you're locked in to Andy Ngo or something.

But it really takes a special kind of stupid to suggest that a group recognized for being a Hate Group, which drove hundreds and thousands of miles to get involved in riots, whose admission policy requires new members to engage in physical violence, is somehow the innocent bystander in all these video clips.

The Proud Boys say they have an initiation process that has four stages and includes hazing. The first stage is a loyalty oath, on the order of "I’m a proud Western chauvinist, I refuse to apologize for creating the modern world"; the second is getting punched until the person recites pop culture trivia, such as the names of five breakfast cereals; the third is getting a tattoo and agreeing to not masturbate; and the fourth is getting into a major fight "for the cause."

In January 2019, Reggie Axtell, a member of the Proud Boys, threatened Ted Wheeler, Portland, Oregon's Democratic mayor, in a Facebook video post. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, Axtell said in the video that Wheeler's "days are damned numbered ... I promise you this, Ted Wheeler: I’m coming for you, you little punk."
