Does Trump owing $400 million to Russian oligarchs make him less of a flight risk?

I have a theory about that! He loses the election, loses his fight to challenge the results...he has his own Trump helicopter land on the White House lawn to pick him up which takes him to his own personal Boeing 757 which takes him out of the country to some place where there is no extradition agreement with the U.S.

Now Trump is just flailing. The house passed the HEROES act for 3.4 trillion in coronavirus stimulus back in May. McConnell refuses to take it up (and, say, pass amendments that would make the bill acceptable to the Senate, like we all learned on School House Rock.) So Pelosi and Mnuchin have been negotiating, with the former coming down to 2.2 trillion that includes relief for the airlines, restaurants, individuals, schools, health care and state governments. Out of the blue (and on steroids), Trump declares negotiations off and that there will be no bill. After the stock market dives, he demands, by Twitter, that several single issue bills be passed instead, forgetting that McConnell has barely enough time to ram through Trump's Supreme Court nominee before the election. Today, Trump tells Medal of Freedom winner Rush Limbaugh that he thinks neither side is talking about enough money and that he's "going in the exact opposite now, OK?"

No plan. Just randomly throwing things out to see if something -- anything -- will rescue his doomed campaign. Bribes to senior citizens one day, dumping cartons of low-reliability COVID tests on nursing homes the next. Offshore drilling bans for battleground states the next day, bringing ISIS terrorists to the US for trial the next. (Remember when Republicans threw a fit when Obama tried to do that with Guantanamo prisoners?) No healthcare plan. No infrastructure plan. No pandemic plan. Just a failing con man with a Twitter account.

Sad.

I'm not. In Trumpistan, that would just signal he was a loser, because they likely still think he was in the running, and it's best not to remind the uneducated white male of what he said yesterday.

A developing story about the case of Ukrainian gas holding company Burisma against People’s Deputy of Ukraine Andriy Derkach has revealed that Burisma did, in fact, bribe Joe and Hunter Biden with large cash payments. The only question is how much did these two crooks receive?

In its dismissal of the claim, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv indicated that representatives from Burisma are only refuting the amount of money the company paid to Joe and Hunter Biden. Burisma is not, it is important to note, refuting that it did, in fact, pay these two some large sum of cash, which is still to be determined.

On his Facebook page, Derkach explained that Burisma has now admitted that it bribed Joe Biden, and “[a]s expected, Burisma lost.” Derkach says that Burisma bribed Joe Biden with a $900,000 lobbying lump sum, which the company is disputing solely due to the amount.

“The court separately noted: Burisma in its statement actually does not dispute the facts of payments – only their size,” Derkach further wrote. “That is, it agrees that it paid Biden and his son, but does not agree that these are the amounts. "

Fauci throws a punch and it lands right on Trump.

"In my nearly five decades of public service, I have never publicly endorsed any political candidate. The comments attributed to me without my permission in the GOP campaign ad were taken out of context from a broad statement I made months ago about the efforts of federal public health officials," Fauci said in a statement provided exclusively to CNN when asked if he agreed to be featured in the ad.

The Trump campaign released the new ad last week after the President was discharged from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center following treatment for Covid-19. The 30-second ad, which is airing in Michigan, touts Trump's personal experience with the virus and uses a quote from Fauci in an attempt to make it appear as if he is praising Trump's response.

"President Trump is recovering from the coronavirus, and so is America," the ad's narrator says. "Together we rose to meet the challenge, protecting our seniors, getting them life-saving drugs in record time, sparing no expense."

Getting Trump would be quite a coup for Russia. He might not be good with details, but he is bound to remember the broad outline on some national secrets. The oligarchs could still launder money through Trump Enterprises.

Maybe the strategists in the Kremlin have some last minute tricks up their sleeve to help Trump.

GOP Caught Cheating

The California Republican Party has admitted responsibility for placing more than 50 deceptively labeled “official” drop boxes for mail-in ballots in Los Angeles, Fresno, and Orange Counties — an action that state officials said was illegal and could lead to voter fraud.
