While on the other hand, he's not worried at all about the threat to democracy over the President publicly calling for imprisoning his political rival, who has an above zero chance of realizing such a scenario with the DOJ as his Twitter friends, and who actually does hold the opinion, and actually does voice such opinions.

The GOP strategy has been for some time now predicting corruption on the part of Democrats that they plan to execute themselves, or accusing Democrats of corruption in which the GOP is already engaged. As has been said many times before, they complain about how bad government is, and then prove it themselves, because they suck. They aren't concerned with corruption; they're concerned with making Democrats appear corrupt, because they suspect moral people might object to it (that's what they've heard, anyway).

And they can get away with it, because idiots, hypocrites and liars (their base) are all on board.

3 million Americans receive income from DoD.
1.1 million people serving in the National Guard and Reserve forces
2 million veterans and their families receive income from their past service.

DoD is also the nation's largest healthcare provider, serving 9.5 million military members, retirees, and their families.

+/- 15 private military contractors
which are about 800,000 employees or roughly 10% of our country's manufacturing industry.
