I actually love the masks! I do my hair, skip the make up, grab a mask, and I'm out the door. What's not to like?
This is a great time for people with nice eyes but jacked up teeth and a crooked nose.

I think that I look better with a mask on.

Me too! Especially with one of the lovely, multi-layered, colorful masks sewn together by my loving, talented spouse.

Have a good sleep, Jersey Girl!
Oh thank you. That didn't happen! Woke up about every 3 hours. The pneumonia shot might be my friend but it doesn't play nice with me.

Owww!
Well, almost 12 hours passed between my post and your answer to it. Hopefully, a significant portion of that time was sleep, despite waking up every 3 hours.

My wife has been buying handmade masks like crazy; she likes to have lots of choices (and lots of clean masks around), and feels like it's helping people in some small way. She's purchased so many, however, that I think she's forgotten some of them. I found one unused in its plastic sleeve, lying at the bottom of a basket into which we throw mail and keys. The print on it is basically the bottom half of a skull (nose and huge, toothy smile).

I said to her, "You haven't used this; I haven't seen this one." She said she didn't really like it. I put it on, and it's incredibly comfortable, so I said, "Meh, I don't care what it looks like. I love how it feels. I'll wear it."

What's funny is I've had more complements from strangers on that mask in a week than any other one I've worn. Makes me laugh, because I'd never have picked it out for myself.

I didn't handle it well at all! I've either been irritable or in tears, and in between rolled up in a down comforter fighting off fever and chills.

I'm better today though! My arm almost looks normal size! I'm telling you, this particular immunization turns me into a weepy, whiny, contrary little child!

I guess that's not so big a change from the usual.

Wow! It affected you a lot worse than it did me! Both my shoulders were moderately sore for about 4 days, but there was no swelling that I noticed. Maybe we Norwegians are just made of tougher stuff!

I would have! I'm envious now. I'll have to find one like that for me! Maybe I can talk my wife into making one like it.

by the way: Check your PM inbox. I left a message for you.

I guess it's just a pattern that seems a little more appropriate for a younger person. Wearing it makes me feel like a Raiders fan.

Hi Gunnar,

I had to get 2 shots today that I got before I went overseas 2 years ago. I couldn't remember which one hurt so much. It's the pneumonia shot and I got it in my dominant arm. I can't raise my arm up very high and it's just killing me right now. I've got some extra strength Tylenol on board and a heat pack which always feels better to me than ice.

I'm heading to bed. I just hope I can sleep. I know it'll be gone in a few days, that this is protective and certainly far better than suffering with pneumonia. I think I tend to be pretty tough but this one turns me right into a child.

Night!
The worst I ever had was the Typhoid shot. Had to get it twice in the 70s.

I had to get that before I went to live in Germany in the 70's. I don't forget it. That thing was also a killer!
