Gunnar - Burger and ?
Because the post was so unbelievably ridiculous, I wanted to provide a separate thread for it.
Gunnar, on another thread, you made the following post.

"When I go to restaurants like Red Robin that offer the option of choosing broccoli as a side, instead of fries, I more often than not choose broccoli."
I think you owe it to every member of this board, as well as anyone who may be lurking, to explain why anyone on the entire planet would order a burger, and instead of fries to go with that burger, they would opt for broccoli with their burger.
I have provided you an entire thread to explain yourself.
The floor is yours.

Re: Gunnar - Burger and ?
So I'm obviously not Gunnar but I have pretty similar behavior.
Personally I just don't care for regular ol' french fries that much. I love me some sweet potato fries (beet and carrot fries are super great too). I just find that fries are mostly just blandness hunks of starch for transporting yummy dips into my mouth. So I'd rather pick other options and keep the dips.
Also, if it isn't a super high quality bun I'll typically opt to skip it. I've had way to many incredibly well baked breads in my life to eat a nasty piece of bleached out white bread hamburger bun. Wrap that burger up in some lettuce and let me go about my life if you're going to do it that way.

Family Feud - Fast Money Round.
"Gunnar, we asked 100 people to fill in the blank. Burger and ?"
Gunnar - "Broccoli!" - Survey said............. 0
By the way, if you have about 2 minutes and want to see the funniest Family Feud segment ever. Watch this. The cool thing is that the more times you watch this, the funnier it gets.

Crown Burger = we always drop the standard fries and go with sweet potato fries or onion rings. (They let you do a lettuce wrap, too)
Broccoli’s pretty awesome otherwise, either steamed, or as a quick pan-fry with a spritz of olive oil and some grated Parmesan.

I've known Gunnar for over 2 decades. He is quite simply put, a pathological liar. NO one goes to Red Robin and forgoes the fries. NO ONE. How can you yourself know that he's a pathological liar? Let me show you the true test.
In his false healthier-than-thou
broccoli claim, did he even ONCE mention eating the onion rings?
Of course not. No, he goes straight to the fries and totally ignores the onion rings. See? He's lying through his teeth. Twice.
I've learned to overlook his lying because he's an overall good guy. But yeah, no fries might be one thing but no onion rings?
That right there is the tip off.
If you don't believe me, hold his feet to the fire and grill him about the onion rings and then watch the denials pour forth!

Finally, someone was willing to provide some truth to the lies!

Hey Huck
I'm not sure but I would imagine it's the same "Red Robin" that is located close to where Gunnar lives (wink) where they offer sweet and sour chicken and instead of an eggroll, you can opt for for two rotten bananas.huckelberry wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 9:43 pmSo where would one order a hamburger and broccoli and get something other than a blank stare? say what?
