PROGRESSIVE COLLEGE BRINGS BACK SEGREGATION AND & CONSIDERS IT "PROGRESS".

Post by Atlanticmike »

That's correct!! The PROGRESSIVE college Westren Washington University, segregates an entire floor for black college students and considers it progress, I'm not kidding you! The most racist, far left group in the Democrat party is actually trying to bring back segregation. PROGRESSIVE thought is going to destroy this country.

Here's a video of what's going on at Western Washington.

Actually, the accommodation does not appear to be segregated. The Universty's website says:

Black Affinity Housing

The Black Affinity Housing program is located on the fourth floor of Alma Clark Glass Hall, named for the first Black student to attend Western Washington University in 1906. The program explores and celebrates the diversity of Black and African American people and culture, with historical and contemporary context. All Western students residing in the program help foster a warm and vibrant community supporting social, personal and academic success.

Black Affinity Housing residents, representing all diverse identities, pride themselves on fostering a sense of belonging for all residents by creating a safe environment for open, honest, and sometimes challenging dialogue. Regular programmatic events and interactions allow students to deepen knowledge and understanding of themselves, peers, and the world. Any student interested in Black Affinity Housing and committed to the goals of the program is encouraged to submit a request form.
Frequently Asked Questions
I saw a news story that said Black Affinity Housing is segregated. Is this true?
No. WWU does not discriminate on the basis of race. No student is required to join the Black Affinity Housing community, and no student is excluded from joining it. The community welcomes all residents who are interested in exploring and celebrating the diversity of Black and African American people and culture, with historical and contemporary contexts.
A bit of reading suggests that a good number out of the the minority of black students at the college wanted to be able to choose to live with people who would be unlikely to act hostilely towards them, make continual 'jokes', excludes them from social activities on floors where they were the only black person, and so on. Nobody has to go to the Black Affinity Housing. Nobody is excluded from it.

I don't see a problem with this policy as it actually is, rather than how sources like Fox News may portray it.

But in this case, as my post shows, they have not. Those PROGRESSIVES (whatever they are - nobody seems willing to explain) just don't seem to have the courage of (what you believe to be) their convictions, do they?

Call us when you have a better example to cite

Mike, if some minority students want to room with each other and can do so by choice, why does that upset you?

Let's say a bunch of white students want to house together because POC make them uncomfortable, is that racist?

Not in and of itself. The University isn’t mandating or stopping any student from being part of that wing of 40 students. Neither are the students exercising control over that population as a whole.

When the alt-right complains about racism, what it really means is that their own objective to be racist has been thwarted.
We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.

Yeah, and if they can convince themselves that everyone else is a nasty racist, then any of their own proclivities in that area are suddenly not that big of a deal.
