If the privilege exists, it's certainly not the overwhelming factor that causes disparate outcomes between racial groups. Individual choices have a much larger effect than anyone on this board is willing to admit. But that would require personal responsibility and it's a whole lot more convenient to just blame whitey. In North Carolina GOP officials are stuck with Russell Walker, a white supremacist running for the state House of Representatives. According to his personal website (littered with the n-word), he believes that “the jews are NOT semitic they are Satanic as they all descend from Satan.”

In Illinois the Republican Party welcomes Arthur Jones, a candidate for the state’s 3rd Congressional district who boasted of his membership in the American Nazi Party. Jones’s campaign website features a section called “Holocaust?” in which he argues that the “idea that six million Jews, were killed by the National Socialist government of Germany, in World War II, is the biggest, blackest lie in history.”https://archive.is/VIzKb

Yeah, I believe white privilege exists. I just don't believe it's the overwhelming factor in whether a person succeeds or not. Anyone who rebuts that there are other factors than white on black discrimination are instantly labeled racist and likely to be cancelled in most lines of work. It started out with Martin Luther King Jr. and the idea that people be judged by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin. Now we're to the point with Ibram Kenadi and critical race theory that believes any law with disparate racial outcomes should be struck down by an antiracist unelected government authority because the law must be racist. As time goes on the consequences of slavery continue to get worse rather than forgotten. Unlike all previous cultures who were stained by the sin of slavery whether Rome, the Vikings, enslaved Amerinds in Latin America, enslaved Chinese in Japan, and even in Africa between competing tribes, the US is the first to never be able to move on from the issue. It's given blacks a power and a Trump card that most of them are never going to be willing to give up.

I believe that there always can be and sometimes are ‘other factors’ - humans being human, after all.

Privilege, from the perspective of the one on the ‘wrong’ side of it, doesn’t always relate to those things that help a person to succeed. But in situations where it does, it only takes one decision, from one person with a bad attitude, to profoundly affect another person’s life. No different than what can happen when anyone makes a bad decision for themselves.
