Okay, so, we are making some huge progress. Some of your shots are cheap and not based in fact. This is really good, Gad. I am very proud of you. You must feel great to share this with the group. And now that it is shameful to call someone a Q believer, you will not be doing that unless the person explicitly believes in Q. Who decides if a posters beliefs in Q are explicit? I recommend that you let the poster decide that. Did you have something else in mind?Gadianton wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 11:20 pmI agree. There's potential Q influence on this board. I would not say, however, (aside from maybe taking an occasional cheap shot if someone is being a persistent dumbass, such as Qultellus) that someone is a QAnon friend or associate or poster, unless the person explicitly believed in Q.
Will VA be like Florida or PA?

‘Believing in Q’, and believing QAnon conspiracies - any of them - are two complete separate things.
Example - the voter fraud narrative is a strong bit of QAnonsense, but the theory itself isn’t ‘Q’.

If these terms are accepted, who will determine if a board participant loves his/her grandchildren or if he/she doesn't give a crap about their grandchildren? Would it be the grandparent of said grandchildren - or would it be a random person on this message board?Cultellus wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 11:26 pmOkay, so, we are making some huge progress. Just trying to get all of this straight.

I’ve known some folks over time who’ve claimed that they love their children or grandchildren, but their actions tell a very different story, in a way that is sometimes painfully obvious.
Whatever reality is, opinions usually vary.

I will use my best judgment and not care a whole lot if it sends you into a blind rage of profanity should you disagree with my assessment. As always, you'd be free to present an actual argument as to why I'm wrong, but I probably would not hold my breath.Qultellus wrote: And now that it is shameful to call someone a Q believer, you will not be doing that unless the person explicitly believes in Q. You have no problem calling me 'woke' when I reject the label, correct? A person could be Q but not want to admit it because of the bad image associated with it. I had a vacuum salesman once come to my door and deny that he was Kirby salesman when in fact, he was a Kirby salesman. A person may be effectively Q in concentration of Q beliefs without having a distinct opinion of Q himself. Posting sympathetically on that .win board might qualify.
There are some conspiracies that are so closely tied to Q or Q's bakers (it's a complex machine for ultimately being so dumb), that if you believe them, then you believe in Q, because there is no other way to account for the belief.
So far none of these other considerations has led me to believe that anyone on this forum or of my right-wing friends is QAnon. We will cross that bridge when it comes.
bonus: Grandparents.
What is love, anyway?
There is no perfect definition for love. There are parents who passionately, in their heart, love their children and families. There is a classic profile of cartel bosses who rule with death, who passionately love their immediate families. There are analytic and cold people who don't show affection, but provide opportunities for their children and grandchildren, and and put real time and effort into their success. Some grandkids might get the best of both worlds in a grandparent. There are abusive parents and spouses who swear they love their families, so obviously, you can't just take their word for it as base reality without any question.
There is a very concerning situation in my extended family that involves grandparents, grandchildren, and vaccines, that gets close to crossing that line where I question that the grandparents really love their grandchildren, because their unhinged right-wing beliefs is now having real consequences on their grandchildren.
We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.
Re: Will Virginia be like Florida or PA?
1: Correct, I don't have a problem with that. Conscientiousness at its extreme is kinda woke. I also think it is prejudice to judge without getting to know the beliefs, thoughts, and feelings behind words and actions. I have a problem with that. I also think that bigotry, which to me is stronger than prejudice, often accompanies discriminatory behavior. It’s arrogant and mean-spirited, but requires neither systems nor power to engage in. Maybe that gives you a bit more insight about why I scrutinize process. I hate ridiculous assumptions, especially when they get put into bigoted action. So yeah. I will just keep being me and you will probably keep writing posts like the one above.
2: Ask Howard Jones.
