Posting is a thing - it requires a measure of personal responsibility and ownership.
...says the guy who won't address at least half the things directed at him.
Years ago, I used to devote significant time and thoughtful effort into posts within threads here, and elsewhere. I’ll let my record of past conversations with faqs or subgenius be the evidence. Those threads are still around.
But, I also realized at one point that such time is wasted when the person you’re conversing with simply ignores the content of other’s posts, instead choosing only to pivot to ludicrous partisan talking points. If those folks don’t have any intent of conversing with honesty or credibility, why should anyone waste the effort to respond extensively to their claims? Better to just use an economy of words, or a picture that effectively makes the argument, as a stand-in. It often drives home the point just as well, and frees up a ton of time for meaningful interaction elsewhere.
Ceeboo is right; “(p)osting is a thing - it requires a measure of personal responsibility and ownership.” As do actual conversations require the same. That isn’t happening with folks that either don’t respond, or purge their history of bad faith responses because even
they can’t abide them.
