These links are just for starters and illustration. Critical race theory is impacting overall quality education.critical race theory curriculum evaluation techniques that focus on cultural representation and social justice have the potential to adversely impact math and science instruction. For example, a toolkit provided on New York University's Steinhardt Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of Schools' website asks teams to assess math curricula from the standpoint of the diversity of ethnicity and sex identification. critical race theory implementation introduces the threat that the mathematical principles discovered by Euclid, Fibonacci, Pythagoras, Archimedes, and Newton be canceled because they are dead white men and not non-binary or BIPOC.
Equity training and critical race theory go hand in hand. Over emphasis on perceived/created racial inequality separates students. Individuals are disciplined and treated not on the basis of individual merits or rule infractions, etc., but on what group they belong to. Quotas are established.
It’s a mess.
And now we have school districts changing their requirements for placement/graduation based upon racial groups rather than as individuals. The standards are being dumbed down or done away with. Same thing at the college level. Result? An overall decrease in quality students being graduated from secondary schools and colleges.
All in the name of equality/equity.
And you think equity training and critical race theory doesn’t play a part in this degradation? You would have to be intentionally blind to the obvious.
The educational system is being played by leftists.

But that bit I enlarged about canceling math principles is just laughable. How can you possibly post that and expect people to take it seriously? You honestly think schools will "cancel" geometry and calculus? That is utterly ridiculous.The Culturally Responsive Curriculum Scorecards were designed by the NYU Metro Center to help parents, teachers, students, and community members determine the extent to which their schools’ English Language Art, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) curricula are (or are not) culturally responsive.

Could you give a specific example of this please?mg2 wrote: And now we have school districts changing their requirements for placement/graduation based upon racial groups rather than as individuals. The standards are being dumbed down or done away with.
This graphic has been making its rounds on alt-Right and Conservative forums since it was created:
Stem, let's break this "critical race theory" phrase/label down for those suckered in by Fox News' fear-mongering catch-phrase.dastardly stem wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 10:01 pm* * *Fearing teachings is a problem. I've no doubt some want to misuse and continue politicizing this and that seems apparent with this push to teach and oppose teaching critical race theory.
Thanks for the comments, sick puppet. I suggested teaching critical race theory is a positive. And if you're mistaking me for some form of a fox News enthusiasts, or something other than a classical liberal toy are greatly mistaken. I'd say I'm largely behind what you are proposing.sock puppet wrote: ↑Sat Jan 01, 2022 12:15 amStem, let's break this "critical race theory" phrase/label down for those suckered in by Fox News' fear-mongering catch-phrase.dastardly stem wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 10:01 pm* * *Fearing teachings is a problem. Race. Data shows persistent, continuing racial disparity in test scores, average incomes, civic participation, elected office holders, etc. among different races. Hmmm.
Critical; critiquing. Should questions be asked as part of teaching? Yes, questions provoke thinking. Ex., the Socratic Method. Or is Fox News opposed to asking questions and thinking? What accounts for this continuing racial disparity, after all we've had the emancipation proclamantion and 13th Amendment banning slavery since the 1860s? If there is truly equality of opportunity and treatment, why do the continuing racial disparities?
Theory. An idea or set of ideas that is intended to explain facts or events. Perhaps the facially neutral institutions and policies inadvertently result in a disparate impact along racial lines. Disparate impact has after all been an analytical tool employed by the Supreme Court, to varying degrees, since 1971--50 years now. Disparate impact is, however, now being demonized by Fox News as something that like alcohol, cigarettes and sex toys should be kept from those under age 18? They can be taught about Abe Lincoln, the Great Emancipator, the 13th Amendment and the 14th Amendment, but not about the lingering impacts in society from centuries of slavey, then Jim Crow laws including segregation, the need for busing to try to integrate the schools, and that yet there are problems? Were you taught about Tulsa 1921 when you were in school? Nope, just that the slaves were freed in the 1860s and slavery ended.
In addition to Tulsa 1921, there have been massacres of blacks in the U.S. since the end of slavery including:
* Memphis 1866
* New Orleans 1866
* Opelousas 1868
* Camila 1868
* St Bernard Parish 1868
* Colfax 1873
* Vicksburg 1874
* Eufaula 1874
* Clinton 1874
* Thibadaux 1887
* Wilmington 1898
* Atlanta 1906
* Springfield 1908
* Slocum 1910
* East St. Louis 1917
* Chicago 1919
* Washington, DC 1919
* Ocoee 1920
* Rosewood 1923
* Detroit 1943
* Philadelphia May 13, 1985
* Charleston June 17, 2015 (Dylann Roof shooting at the Mother Emanuel church)
There were 30,000 white supremacists in KKK robes that marked in Washington DC on Aug 8, 1925.
There was the Unite the Right, a white supremacist rally on Aug 11-12, 2017 in Charlottesville Virginia.
Never mind all that, it's okay to teach that Lincon freed the slaves and leave all of this out. We can't risk that white kids might feel that their race has been in part responsible for this disgusting treatment of another race. Their much too delicate of egos can't handle that, or so goes Fox News' position.

Agree, with Marcus.
MG, I would ask you to provide a case for this allegation (bold text). Otherwise, it looks like you’re just buying into bad partisan rhetoric that isn’t based on truth.
