I can appreciate the idea you have, I just don't see you being able to engage much with content, or even trying to. You just leave it as a bunch of complaining and mocking as if that constitutes a point. I agree many of the complaints about DCP are over the top, annoying, childish, etc. Even plenty of complaints about the Church are problematic. But that hardly means there's not good solid efforts to address ideas. Why you think RFM is anything near someone who is not willing to be challenged or willing to discuss ideas, is beyond me. The comparison is silly. I think you know that so you prefer to try and poke from the outside with mockery. I mean, I guess that's a tactic of some sort. It's just a stupid one. Ya ain't helping your cause nor helping anyone else.

First, there’s nothing that can be said to help my cause on this board. Absolutely nothing! By posting here, I’ve accepted that I walked into a progressive chapel and I’m being stared at because I don’t repeat the narrative put forth by 99% of the members in this “church”! When you were Mormon, did the missionaries ever bring someone to sacrament meeting that they found on the street, reeked of body odor mixed with the strong smell of Marlboro Reds? Everyone in the chapel turns around and looks and even though they won’t admit it, they’re secretly hoping the missionaries don’t convince the guy to come back the next week. Well, that’s the position I’m in! And I accept it, I embrace it, I uses it to my advantage. What would you have me do? Convince everyone here their point of view is wrong? Really? Believe it or not, you and I probably have a lot in common. I love driving a truck while eating fried chicken. Can’t beat a perfectly spiced piece of fried chicken! One difference though, I accept I’m in a cult! One mistake people make when leaving religion is thinking because they found the “truth”, religion becomes worthless and they make it there life mission to prove their new found knowledge is better then what they used to believe. Does that sound familiar?? Let me ask again, does that sound familiar?? Maybe you should ask yourself if you’re still preaching “truth” like you did when you were Mormon, just from a different Bible!

What’s the main purpose of religion? Let me let you in on a little secret! And trust me the brethren know this. When there’s no God above the state, the state becomes God (by definition, an idol, a false God) the highest authority in the lives of those governed.
