Yep. The valuation is perfect where the bid meets the ask. Simple as that.consiglieri wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 4:41 amWhen I was in high school, I asked my dad if he didn’t think professional baseball players made too much money.
He told me a thing is worth whatever people will pay for it.
That is what establishes its value.

Re: Trib’s Second Article on John Dehlin
It is quite apparent that people are severely jealous of how successful JD has been with MormonStories. They will do anything they can to try to take that away from him. Love JD or hate him, he has built a successful organization that many people are willing to donate to. He isn't requiring 10% of your income, he isn't threatening you with spiritual death if you don't donate. He asks you to listen, and if you enjoy what he has to share, stick around and IF you can, donate. To be completely honest I am surprised that at this point he is still offering essentially all of his without it being behind a paywall.

The church is roughly one million times richer than John Dehlin.
Just like Ukraine, John is putting up a hell of a battle against a supposedly superior force.
And just like Ukraine, the church is trying to spread lies and misinformation about him.
You’d think Dan Peterson would have been able to handle this since he’s an expert in guerrilla warfare.

Incorrect. That establishes market price. That's not the same thing as value.consiglieri wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 4:41 amWhen I was in high school, I asked my dad if he didn’t think professional baseball players made too much money.

He isn't even reminding viewers that God's love will be suspended from the Earth and it will cease rotating for a day, a night, and a day. Carah will not run anyone through with a drawn sword. Kirton, McConkie, and Consiglieri will not be sending out letters of collection reminding everyone that their capsules will be ejected before entering Kolobian orbit.

Oh... I was under the impression he is an expert in letting apologetic gorillas post on his site. Yeah I gotta watch that spelling...drumdude wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 6:14 amKukulkan wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 5:30 amIt is quite apparent that people are severely jealous of how successful John Dehlin has been with MormonStories. I don't have a dog in this fight. It's just weird that you would claim that John doesn't want to pay taxes, when you're now reversing yourself and saying you knew all along that he does. Why would you claim this if you actually know how it works?jpatterson wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 3:35 amOf course not. I work for a non-profit and (checks notes) am well aware that I pay taxes.PseudoPaul wrote: ↑Tue Mar 01, 2022 9:43 pm
Are you under the impression that John doesn't pay income taxes simply because he gets paid by a not-for-profit organization?
You guys are so desperate to catch me in some inaccuracy, it’s cute.
"And there's no way in hell John is going to start paying taxes now that he's enjoyed the sweet, sweet nectar of tax-exempt revenue."

Re: Trib’s Second Article on John Dehlin
I have never listened to anything John Dehlin, ever. I barely know his face and probably would not recognize him passing on a sidewalk but I have read his critics ad nauseam here for what seems like an eternity. It seems to me that the critics on the list I provided above and others are a total pathetic embarrassment top to bottom. I doubt JD is a saint but they are making him look like a class act in comparison.
