Written between October 1787 and August 1788 under the pen name Publius, The Federalist Papers were originally published as newspaper editorials intended to explain the merits of the American Constitution.

Thomas Jefferson described The Federalist Papers as “the best commentary on the principles of government which ever was written.”

That means that defenders of the Constitution have no better help in understanding the principles of liberty underlying the Constitution than the words of the Founders themselves.

"Betty Botta bought some butter.
'But,' she said, 'This butter's bitter.
If I put it in my batter, it will make my batter bitter.'
So she bought a bit o' better butter.
Better than the bitter butter.
Which made her bitter batter better.
So 'twas better Betty Botta bought a bit o' better butter."

A group of missionaries who were kidnapped and held captive in Haiti managed to escape despite having no help from the White House.

A Haitian gang took the Christians hostage in the country’s capital, Port-au-Prince.

The 17 missionaries were with an Ohio-based agency

The abduction occurred when they finished visiting an orphanage.

The gang swooped in and said they wanted millions of dollars in exchange for the missionaries’ release.
The horrendous act was committed by the 400 Mawoza gang.

Surprisingly the gang gave their hostages things like toothbrushes, toilet paper and baby food.

In November, five of the missionaries were released while the other 12 adults and five children still remained in captivity.

The missionaries were held in a small area and were eventually allowed outside at some point but still in a captive environment.

They saw an opportunity to escape and were able to make their way out of a closed-door that was blocked off.
When they sensed the timing was right, they found a way to open the door that was closed and blocked, filed silently to the path that they had chosen to follow, and quickly left the place that they were held — despite the fact that numerous guards were nearby.

This group of 17 individuals were able to escape by using the moon and starlight to guide their path, and walked many miles in desolate terrain in order to secure freedom.

They had children and infants with them on their journey. The group consisted of 12 adults and five children.

The group walked with small children and an infant for hours on rugged ground.

They eventually came across someone and were able to call for help.

Weston Showalter, a spokesman for the Christian Aid Ministries said:
"The missionaries’ freedom came with no help from the White House.
The current Biden administration has made it obvious in several instances that Christians are a hindrance to their agenda."

One of the world’s rarest cats has a new addition to the family.

Two Amur leopards, named Anya and Irina, were born last month at the Saint Louis Zoo. The female cubs are the first born at the zoo since 2010 and are a significant contribution to the animal’s population, the zoo said.

The Amur leopard is considered one of the most endangered cats in the world. The World Wildlife Fund says the animal is critically endangered, which means only around 100 remain in the wild.

The Amur leopard lives in the forests of the Russian Far East and northeast China, with a few possibly also in North Korea.
