Thanks to all who came to the show and learned at the knee (face!) of Dr Southerton tonight. He is so knowledgable in radiometric dating, archaeology, ancient history, Kennewick man, horses in ancient America, etc., - what a treat! And we had a terrific question and answer session with him with some very good questions! I appreciate how you contributed to the discussion! He said he really had fun, enjoyed the audience, and will come back soon. All in all, a very enjoyable evening with a scientist.
For those of you who couldn't make it, the video is available for watching here:

It haas always baffled me how Mormons persist in insisting that it all happened in Yucatan long after Thomas Ferguson totally debunked that idea. Yes, there are a few Heartlanders, but I venture to guess that 99% of the butts in the pews "know" that King Benjamin was a Mayan. Please help me to understand.

You haven’t read DCP’s apologetics on this. The Book of Mormon events took place in an area about the size of your living room, which is why we haven’t found any evidence for them yet.slskipper wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 4:32 amIt haas always baffled me how Mormons persist in insisting that it all happened in Yucatan long after Thomas Ferguson totally debunked that idea. 37,000-year-old mammoth butchering site may be the oldest evidence of humans in North America.
