Giving Machine Locations expanded...

Post by IHAQ »

Returning this year are the popular Light the World Giving Machines. These giving-focused vending machines offer a unique and memorable way to share light by serving and caring for others around the world. Giving Machines include items such as groceries, fresh water, child vaccines, beds, hygiene kits, farming equipment, medical care, job training, educational supplies, beehives and livestock.

Does the Church include the donations made in these machines when it states how much "it" has spent via LDS Charities?

I'm wondering if there will be a machine in the lobby of the Ensign Peak Advisors offices...

What'd be the problem with putting them out all the time? "returning this year" sounds silly. We can find charity outlets any time of year.

Excellent point.

So you can pay the Church to send a product to somebody in need and the Church gets the tax write-off?

I can make donations that give me the write-off. And there's overhead in the program, and so some executive with the right last name is making money off of this.
