The cheap, amateur pop psychological Mormon brainwash continues its paroxysms of convincing others...

It's akin to inoculation or so says my dodo worshiping relative. The dodo supposedly was for inoculation against the truth, and it works, at least it did in my case for a while. I knew a lot about church history back in the 70's and 80's that was shocking, but being young and impressionable to team politics, I succumbed to the morg being true for a while. Support the team young man! Luckily, I didn't ruin my college years and had a blast.BeNotDeceived wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 8:54 pmI wonder if Holland thinks his 'church' has honesty and integrity when it pens a series of 12 essays admitting to what used to be 'anti-Mormon lies' back in 2014 and then buries them on its website only to be discovered by those looking for them while continuing to send missionaries out into the world and peddling the same Joseph Smith narrative to investigators that they've admitted isn't the way it really happened?![]()

Myth is misused by the powerful to subjugate the masses all too often.

Jeff Holland would fit in nicely with the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses. Neither Holland nor the GB is able to publicly acknowledge that there can be meaningful, truly happy existence for someone who rejects their dogma and interpretation "de jour". Accordingly, those who leave are subject to name-calling, ad hominem criticism, and other grown-up methods of dealing with conflict.

I'll go toe to toe with Holland on personal integrity any day of the week.

Old hat with a new name. Some things never change...just get a new label.

For someone who has only a passing acquaintance with the truth, Holland should stay clear of any conversation involving integrity. As a refresher, I refer you to Jeffrey's BBC interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U35e6sXsdRM
