The "Jesus Loves Uranus" author (or whatever it was titled; it was something like that)
Actually it was :

Uranus testifies of Christ

I can't believe "Uranus testifies of Christ" made it through to publication. That certainly was something to put on the shelf when I still believed because my anus never testified of Christ, even on my mission. 🤣
Myth is misused by the powerful to subjugate the masses all too often.

Seriously, right? I kept looking back at the source, thinking I was reading an Onion parody or something.

If someone doesn’t believe in Christ it’s because they haven’t studied Uranus properly…

Life experience shows that lots of people can believe something happened when it didn't or that they saw something when they didn't. Furthermore in that time period they weren't in ours where it's more black and white. Now we see this as either confirmation or not of LDS claims. To them, the experience could have yielded a greater variety of possibilities, like ones own personal spiritual sensitivity and definitely not necessarily Joseph Smith's authority

All great points, Meadowchik!

Is it bad sign that I giggle with puerile pleasure at this?
