Well. Help me understand your mindset, then. How does the Trinity make sense to you, but the duality of Jesus’ nature doesn’t?

I don't think I can claim that the Trinity makes sense to me, but I do find it easier to wrap my brain around than the hypostatic union. I think it might be because, when it comes to the Trinitarian God, I'm trying to imagine something that I have no real world reference point for. It's an excursive in straight up trying to imagine something. With the hypostatic union, I have a very concrete point of reference: me. I'm human. The Trinitarian God is omniscient and omnipotent. I'm kinda puny with a tiny brain. How in the world could something that is fully human, like me, also be fully God, unlike me. The two seem so opposite in nature that I just can't create any sort of mental map of what fully human/fully god would look like.
Res Ipsa, You have made a direct clear statement.
It fits what I was thinking with out my stumbling about.

I mean, we all have the ability to create fantastical reasons to conceptualize nonsensical and contradictory ideas.

Hypostatic Union - both man and god are part of the “existential blanket”. God is the Totality encompassing everything, even the man who is just one tiny spike in this Everything Blanket. When God incarnated all He did was “spike”, as it were, as a man within this holistic reality. Thus the Man Jesus was in toto a Man while simultaneously Being God, even though God was directing Everything, to include Himself as Jesus, even though Jesus wouldn’t, couldn’t, be aware of this.

See? If you’re just creative enough and know enough “science words” you can make the theology work.

I should’ve been a Methodist preacher …

Yeah, it's all based on made up concepts. If a supreme being exists, said supreme being won't demand worship, won't punish for non-belief, won't punish for not attending ritual ceremonies, can probably resurrect whomever if that is even a thing, forgive whomever without a blood sacrifice, and won't punish for not understanding that which is not capable of being understood. If this god or supreme being is in the shadows, actively hiding from us, then judging the world based on finding the hidden seems completely nonsensical.
Myth is misused by the powerful to subjugate the masses all too often.
