Mopologists Make Their Predictions for 2023

Post by Everybody Wang Chung »

Happy New Year everyone!! The Mopologists were very gracious today and agreed to give us their 2023 predictions. It will be interesting to see which Mopologist was right.

If anyone is offended, please blame Moksha.

If the Allen Wyatt prediction of Midgley’s unfortunate demise were to unfold exactly as described, it would be a bit of a tragedy in its own right if the event was not captured on video.

Well, if Allen Wyatt's prediction does come true in 2023 we can rest assured in the knowledge that Louis Midgley died doing what he loved the most. Namely, visiting a dive bar while having strangers throw nuts at his body.

Holy smokes, I needed this today! Thanks, Everybody Wang Chung!

When I got to the part where Rasmussen is predicting Blake Ostler's toupee-related ozone hole issues, I lost it! 🤣

Looking at photos of the Mopologists isn't the best way to judge their personalities. But being generally familiar with their writings, defensiveness, aggressiveness, pet topics, etc., I can say that Scott Lloyd, Blake Ostler, and Louis Midgely are three people I would have zero interest in having lunch with. Best wishes to them all, but... no.

For some reason, however, I think having lunch with Will Schryver might be loads of fun. Something about his long flowing hair, that manly Proud Boys beard, and those steely #DezNat eyes. I know that the meal would be utterly humorless. But perhaps after a couple cold IPAs, Will would let down his guard and start to unload on his former colleagues.

It would be interesting to interact with them free of the topic of Mormonism. What that would be like I have no idea, but that is what makes me curious. I have a feeling that much of what we dislike about these people is a product of their defensiveness about their religious beliefs. They might be easy to interact with, putting Mormonism aside, although I would also guess that some might have a difficult time not relating everything to Mormonism, which would land us in trouble again.

I enjoyed them, got a few silent chuckles and laughed out loud, as we say, at one in particular. I'm not saying which one. Thanks Everybody Wang Chung

In light of recent events, the Mopologists had a few more predictions for 2023:
