But Shulem my dear man, the Holy ghost trumps math. With the Holy Ghost all things are possible. Just have faith that somehow there is a miscalculation and your testimony will remain intact.

If the Church officially goes down the road of the Holy Ghost trumping and rejecting the science then they will lose more than half its members and the rest will degrade into attrition and confusion. The Church is wont to follow the apologists and if they deny the math then they are up against the world and the Mormon Church will slide into oblivion. They will lose any and all credibility to remain a force in the world.

Oh come now dear fellow.... surely we all realize the church has enough money they can simply buy respectability and longevity of influence and goodness.....don't we? Let facts be facts, who cares? The church has enough money they can increase their charity by 10% each month and brag for decades of how righteous and spiritual it is, convincing tens of millions to continue their good works to get to heaven with them so they can continue to receive blessings.

Yeah, the Church will be able to buy some, perhaps many, but not me and not the honest in heart. The honest in heart are not going to be bought with money and promises that are increasingly becoming a joke such as Christ's coming and the prophecies of the New Jerusalem having gone unfilled since poor Joe was shot dead.

I'm afraid that the future for Mormonism is not bright. Members have a choice:

2300 BC or 3000+ BC

Can't have both and eat ur cake too. That's not honest and we see that the Church is not honest.

Trivially unimportant compared to the blessings paying tithing to the Lord through his authorized church can give folks. It is a mere historical nit pick of no consequence compared to making sure your purchase for a good seat in the heavenly theater of Celestial glory is secured through your righteous action of giving to the poor through the authorized representatives of the Lord Jesus Christ for their proper distribution with the inspiration of the Holy ghost to assure the poor are being properly taken care.

Mormons who are unfaithful to science and Egyptology are welcome to bring their trivial argument to the world and present their case. The very foundation of modern Egyptology will not accept corrupt Mormon numbers as having validity in any historical record or presentation of prehistoric Egypt. We are suppose to count by the numbers and not by corrupt ideas to fit the mistakes of an ignorant 19th century want-to-be Egyptologists by the name of Joe. Likewise, we count each $100 bill to pay or bills. The Mormons are spiritually bankrupt and lack integrity, honesty, and values that everyone else who appreciates real Egyptology expect in order to embrace truth.

The Church of John Gee of Silly-believing Mormons have lost the war for the Book of Abraham. It's over. Dead.

$2400 BC vs. $3000+ BC

Take your pick! The difference is huge. Open your eyes, Backyard Professor. This really is the final nail in the coffin. Get ur ass up in the Celestial and state your position on this matter. Have you ever wondered why John Gee won't do that? Have you ever wondered why the Church won't do it? They just play both sides of the fence and have conditioned the members to look the other way. But you know Shulem, I'm looking right at the ball, the very original ball that was tossed in the air for the first time.

The Book of Abraham situation is worse than the lack of evidence of the Book of Mormon, in my opinion. At least with the Book of Mormon, apologists can claim that "we just haven't found it yet." But with the Book of Abraham, we have found it--long ago. It is blindingly obvious that Egypt was alive and kicking long before Noah's flood supposedly took place. Everyone with any familiarity at all with the history can verify this information. Even if you believe the Book of Abraham is an actual "translation," the chronology is just obviously wrong.

This reality, and the obvious lack of evidence of a global flood having taken place a few thousand years ago, has actually made the more educated apologists abandon the idea that the Noah story applied to the entirety of the globe. I wish I had the reference, but I vaguely recall reading some article on the LDS church site that implied there was no worldwide flood.

Knowing that "the chronology is just obviously wrong" destroys both the Catalyst & Missing Roll theories with one swoop of the hand. It all comes down to the numbers and the Book of Abraham does not follow the numbers or support a genuine chronology of ancient Egyptian history. The story of how Egypt came after a flood dated to 2400 BC is just plain wrong. No amount of apologetics can make that right.

It's over. The difference between 2400 and 3000+ is HUGE. It goes to show that Smith's revelation and adoption of the Jewish Bible is fatally flawed and can't stand the test of time.

It would be nice if more people would realize this and compartmentalize it in proper fashion but it seems that most people have been blissfully blinded by the craftiness of apologists to avoid this matter altogether and not think about it. But that is not going to continue. I will be repeating this and harp on it more furiously than I ever did the "king's name". Gee is going to hate me now!

Hey Gee, you so need your ass kicked. 3000+ BC, baby!

Shulem, do you think John Gee honestly believes the Book of Abraham is what he argues?

I think if you were to sit down with him one on one and he was being completely honest, he would tell you he is a pious fraud when it comes to the Book of Abraham.

I don't know what he "honestly" believes but I do know what he publishes and that he endorses the Book of Abraham which introduces a factitious story of Egypt's origins and the dating is all off. What is Gee going to say about that?

Believe me, I am zeroing in on the problem and showcasing this in the Celestial thread. If John Gee wants to take me on, then bring it on. I will kick his ass. I will slam him to the ground and shove the 2400 BC date down his throat! I will pin him down and beat him up.

It's time for him to stand down. It's time to accept Book of Abraham defeat.

I am taking my critical attack to a whole new level. Believe it when I say I have have everything lined up and my ducks are in order.
