The most uncomfortable interview one might see

Post by Markk »

This poor woman looks like she is ready to cry. And Nelson looked so clumsy having to “almost” put the hat to his face.

Wrong on both counts from what I observed. Interesting how we see what we want to see isn’t it?

Well, that we can certainly agree on that.

What prompted me to post this, is that I am discussing the "stone in the hat" with an older TBM (in a bishop ric), that refuses to accept that Joseph used the hat, no matter how many references that I give him from LDS . org, including Institute Manuals and alike, he refuses to accept it.

Richard Bushman taught at a fireside that the church has indeed taught a false narrative, and that grandma's and grandchildren are at odds on what the true narrative is.

The gentlemen that I am talking to, is relying on the Joseph Smith Foundation for his information, including their denial that Joseph used the hat and seer stone in translating the Book of Mormon...yet, the younger generation knows the truths, and in regard to the video, Nelson is painfully reaching out to the "grandkids" who know the truth, while not wanting to discuss it.

How did he respond to the video of Rusty demonstrating it half heartedly?

Sounds like he’s on the path to apostasy by not following the Rustyites.

silence so far...

I feel for the guy, it reminds me of my parents in some ways before they died. When you are in your 70's, or 80's, and your whole church life has been invested in the false narratives and lies that the church teaches, even if by non-teaching (lies by omissions), is just sad and hard to accept. He has children and grandchildren he is very proud of that in bishop-ric's and very TBM. He has no choice but to deny and believe.

This is a typical response... "Joseph Smith himself, never admitted to seer stone in the hat... in fact he stated he translated by the power of God using the spectacles. You can continue to believe folks like Whitmer who never scribed for Joseph Smith and later became a enemy to him..."

No she doesn’t, and no he didn’t. This is rehearsed propaganda. No need to lie, Markk.

Rehearsed for sure. They don't do anything that hasn't been studied and vetted by committee and then practiced.
Myth is misused by the powerful to subjugate the masses all too often.

In order to get into character and play the role so well, the actress was freshly out of electroconvulsive therapy and was given a dosage of a hallucinogenic substance.

Obviously Nelson isn't half the Joseph Smith seer that Joseph Smith was - chortle! Why not translate something right there on camera using the rock and hat as Joseph Smith did since you claim your a prophet like him Herr Nelson?! Too sacred? Pfft! It wasn't to Joseph Smith and his scribes...

Rehearsal of not, propaganda of not, I never said otherwise...it was uncomfortable for both, LOL...her butt was so puckered up when she kind of agreed with him that a rock found in a well, put into a hat to read, is the same as a cell phone...and she obviously was uncomfortable when he stopped-started-then stopped...to actually put the hat over his face.

Does anyone know who she is?
