Elder Holland Will Not Be Speaking At SUU

Post by Everybody Wang Chung »

Elder Holland is officially taking a 2 month leave of absence:
He was scheduled to be the keynote speaker at Southern Utah University's commencement exercises in Cedar City on April 28, but a spokeswoman for the university said on Thursday he will not be attending or speaking at the ceremony. She said this change is due to the announcement about his health.

I guess the Q14 want to go in a non-musket direction.

Will the Church furnish SUU with a General Authority substitute who can exhort the faculty to have their muskets on standby?

I hope Holland gets well soon.

I also hope this humbles him a bit.

He's getting the best medical attention the tithes of families who can't afford health insurance will provide.

So true.

Hoping for a full recovery for the both of them.

I'm hoping Elder Holland has a quick recovery too.

I understand he hasn't been feeling well for a while. I wonder if the leadership has already started its search for a replacement? Wouldn't that be amazing if Alabama apologist, Richard Nygren was called as the next apostle? Richard would bring some much needed vitality and style to the Quorum of the 12:

If Richard was speaking in General Conference, I just might tune in.
