My God! the Church is so goofy on this. In 2020 the number of missionaries went down due to covid concerns. It's spiked a bit again, because, presumably, some of those who would have went in 2020 but didn't due to covid, went later (this was my niece's case. She would have went earlier but waited due to covid). This is exactly like the age change surge, but, of course, a much smaller impact overall. Once the age change boost calmed down, there was very little change. Now that the surge from post covid is showing some minimal increase, as should be expected, they are touting some major win? As if the Church is growing and is taking over the world again?
I'm saying, my God? With these guys stop with this deceptive use of stats?

I agree that Covid more than likely has something to do with the increase in applications. On another note, I agree that the missionaries should be encouraged to keep in contact with their converts, even at the expense of finding more. The emphasis on numbers and passing them off to members strained a lot of our relationships with the newly baptized. They wanted our time and we simply didn't have it to give.
However, I would have felt an obligation to tell them what I now know had I kept in contact with them.
Those who left are better off, by a least 10%.

Have the FP and Q12 read all of the essays to date? My guess is not because if so, how can they possibly keep missionaries going out into the world and peddling the same narrative they admitted in 2014 wasn't actually true??? The lack of ethics, honesty, morality and inegrity involved in sending young people out into the world at their own expense, with the 'church' sitting on hundreds of billions, to preach a false narrative that lead to the creation of a fraudulent religion, has to be one of the most deceptive and despicable things any human can immerse themselves in... disgusting and abhorrent to the nth degree!!!
And these guys stand at pulpits expecting obedience and worthiness from the rank and file members...

So, I should start seeing missionaries everywhere instead of, uh, like nowhere?

These 85 men, who deceitfully claim to commune with God and Christ, have to know the religion is a fraud and was created by a con-man, yet, they keep sending young people out into the world, wasting 2 years of their lives at their own expense, perpetuating a narrative to investigators they know themselves isn't true based on the essay about it from 2014... that's far worse than a mopologist doing mental gymnastics attempting to explain all of the problems of the foundation of the 'church' and true character of its founder, IMHO. These men are benefiting tremedously from a multi hundred billion dollar real estate corportation disguised/masquerading as a religion and expect honesty, integrity and worthiness from the members while they deceive in the highest for their own benefit... doesn't get much worse than that. Absolutely disgusting!Dr. Shades wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2023 9:01 amFor the same reason Mopologists are able to do Mopologetics.BeNotDeceived wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 7:46 pmHave the FP and Q12 read all of the essays to date?
