Deseret Management is the owner of “Radiant Foundation”

https://www.deseretmanagement.com/

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deseret ... orporation
Probably, but it's a little murky. Were you able to make that connection from information on the Radiant Foundation webpage? Were you able to figure out what the Radiant Foundation is?
If you scroll down, it’s listed under “Our companies”

I’m asking for your help because I’m not able to find a connection between the official church and the organization called Faith Matters. As I’ve said, there are many members who belong to Faith Matters. That doesn’t make it church controlled or financed.

So does the church control the comings and goings of Faith Matters? If so, can you stop beating around the bush? 😉 Like show the money trail for instance?
If you don't know, then what was the basis for your assertions about this group?

...The ‘fluff’ is not connected with the church. It’s an independent group of like minded people. A support group of sorts.

Faith Matters is not an authoritarian structure...
I’ve listened to many of the podcasts for one. The discussions are far ranging and free thinking. Not the typical Gospel Doctrine class.

Also, in the Tribune article I linked you to Peggy Fletcher Stack doesn’t make any mention of affiliation between the LDS Church and Faith Matters. I would think that she, of all people, would point that out.

It sounds to me like Faith Matters just came on your radar.

That’s the Radiant Foundation, yes.

drumdude, did you find the connection between Deseret Management/LDS Church and Faith Matters?

And what do you think about Faith Matters from what you’ve now seen? I would hazard a guess that this organization just came onto your radar.

Do you see this organization as being a net positive?

Dude, don't hijack my thread. The topic is knowing what you don't know.

Where does reporter Stack tell us who controls Faith Matters?

On the contrary, she pointed out a considerable and very focused lds connection.

Faith Matters started with a podcast, hosted first by Latter-day scholar Terryl Givens, interviewing prominent believers...

Soon, they assembled an advisory board made up of a who’s who of Latter-day Saint thinkers and writers, including...

The parent company has the child company listed on the parent company site.

I do not see any reference to the parent company on the child company site.

I like many of the members of the Faith Matters organization based on their website photos. Many of them are familiar apologists who work for the new Maxwell Institute and I associate with more fair minded apologetics than, say Interpreter.

But I only just glanced at it.
