I am very unhappy about the state of political and civic discourse in the United States, shocked at the direction we seem to be heading, deeply discouraged by the available partisan options, and genuinely very much worried for the future of my country and its fundamental institutions. Apart from divine grace, I don’t see them as indestructible. And are we worthy of divine grace? I’m not sure.
It’s just so ironic to see DCP whinge about the state of politics. He has spent his life flinging mud, distorting the truth, and now running an entire journal of pseudo intellectual garbage. The climate change deniers and anti-vaccine lobby could learn a lot from how Interpreter promotes a version of reality completely at odds with facts, logic, and reason.
I don’t seem to remember DCP ever publicly apologizing for his treatment of Brent Metcalfe. He certainly never chastised Billy Hamblin for his childish little stunt.
Why does DCP expect politicians to act in better faith than he himself does? DCP is playing a perfect part in creating this disgusting aspect of society he claims to be so unhappy about.
I am glad Mr Peterson expressed this view, he has an audience. He is also a saint compared to some of the political poison in the air. (the observation is visible relatively only)

When i was very young, my dad suggested to me that he didn't think it was a good idea for me to read the Chronicles of Narnia because the themes it had in common with the Book of Mormon might make me think the Book of Mormon was also fiction.
Note that he didn't think my reading of the Book of Mormon would make me think the Narnia books were factual. It was the weaker plausibility of the Book of Mormon historicity that needed protection, by limiting my exposure to other fiction.
Lucky for me, a young and voracious reader, that suggestion was easily ignored.
