From the current handbook:
The bishop or an assigned counselor interviews those who are to be ordained deacons or teachers to determine if they are spiritually prepared. The bishop interviews brethren who are to be ordained priests.

Before interviewing a young man for priesthood ordination, the bishop obtains verbal permission from the parents or guardians. Permission is not required from a parent or guardian who has no legal basis for opposing the action.

So the Bishop is authorised to interview a minor regardless of a parents' objection.
No.

Are you suggesting that the Church has a guideline for Bishops that would lead them (the Bishops) to do something that isn't legal?
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

If you are interested in insight, you know how to ask for it.
If you were interested in contributing to the thread, you could have answered more fully. You must have an inflated opinion of yourself if you refuse to provide anything more than monosyllabic answers unless someone asks in what you have decided is the right way. What a ridiculous thing to say. You’re supposed to set the example as a moderator! What a joke. Do me a favour and ignore the thread.

No reason for anyone to be alone with kids at church.

Ad hominem attack noted.

I expressed disagreement with your statement. Then I answered the yes or no question you asked me with "no." I haven't "refused" to do anything. I simply waited for an indication that someone is interested in what I have to say on the topic before saying more.

When I post in the black, I am obligated to follow the rules, as is any other poster. I am not obligated to conform my posts to your expectations.

But it had to be the right kind of indication by your arbitrary measure, right? If someone asks a yes/no type of question I’m anticipating you’ll now only post yes or no in response? Or will you bend a little when it’s not me doing the asking?
