You weren’t kidding. It looks like even the Proprietor headed for the exits. ETA: (To be fair, Cruise Lady tours follow a very strict schedule and don’t wait for anyone—even headliners such as the Proprietor.)
But don’t change that channel! Brother Gordon is coming up next with “I Learned it on the Internet: Maintaining Faith in Today's Online World."
By the way, I spotted several missionaries in the audience. Must be a slow day for street contacting and Bible-bashing in Rome.

I think Scott Gordon's thesis will lead up to the solution of turning off your brain.
It is good that those missionaries showed up since the audience would look even more vacant without them. This is definitely not the group of troubled Saints who showed up at the Swedish Rescue. Bet the non-Italian presenters wish they had ditched this lecture and let Dr. Peterson lead them on a tour of the Eternal City on golf carts. This setting up and knocking down of strawmen is so tedious. It will probably cause the missionaries to pull out their scriptures or iPhones.
When Gordon got to finances he began lying as much as Trump. So badly, it would make an excellent Mormonism News Update, as well as a Dr. Scratch expose.
I randomly tuned in and heard Peterson say if you are so dogmatic that you assume books can't be delivered by angels, welll then I guess you're just stuck with the Illuminati instead.

Why a book of plates? What about the magic stones, both those used to light the barges for Lehi and his family to cross the ocean and the Urim and Thummim over which words magically appeared in English? Silly Nephites using such crude methods as engraving the story on gold plates. Pft.

Oh no. Some of those titles are just disasters waiting to happen.
This one especially:
Scott Gordon... "I Learned it on the Internet: Maintaining Faith in Today's Online World."
This is no different, these days, than saying "I read it in a book," or "I attended an online lecture by a certified professional about it," or "I took a long distance class on it in university."
Does he really think blaming the medium for the state of the information that is available is the way to go?
I think he really does believe it. It's called inoculation, and it is failing vehemently worldwide.
If Mormons, particularly BICs with multi-generational Mormon pedigrees, were to let that inoculation fail for them, then they would not be "special" anymore. Oh, the horrors of just being people like the rest of humanity. Equality with other humans would be such a bummer.

Combine the FAIR people and their spouses and the missionaries and you have almost as big a crowd as the actual crowd. If there were 30 people there a few were playing hide and seek.

No they were out in the foyer, you know..... habits are hard to break.....
Which is more important: going to Africa in order to show support for brand-new African Latter-day Saints that are appearing in your film? Or re-reading a very old FAIR talk in front of a basically empty room?

Doctor Scratch, Scott Gordon is worthy of a Pants on Fire trophy at this years coming awards for his Rome defense of Church finances.
