Trump Selling an America that Doesn't Exist

I'm not a Trumpist. But I asked my next door neighbor who is a Trumpist what he thinks about Trump vs Biden. He said many things, including the border crisis/invasion, and that the democrat party has become crazy leftist crazy and that Biden is demented and is pandering to them, probably at the urging of his handlers. (I can't really disagree about that.) But with regards to Trump personally, while he acknowledges Trump's obvious flaws, he thinks "Joe Biden is a colossal piece of sh*t for not welcoming Hunter's five year old daughter into the family while pretending to care about people. This is the lowest of low and shows what he's really made of. I doubt Trump would ever do that." I thought he would mention the whole hair-sniffing-of-young-girls thing, and showering-with-his-daughter thing, but he didn't.

A lot of projection going on here. I laugh every time a MAGA moron talks about the Leftist "extremism" or the "Radical Left" which are jus catch words that have been programmed into their brains by right wing media. EVery accusation is a confession, claiming the LEft has been coopted by mysterious imagined powers that be, etc. LOL. I also laugh when people whine about the so called "border crisis" and then call it an "invasion" while insisting there is nothing racist about saying that. Tell me please, why anyone in their right mind would believe Trump is the solution to the border issue when he never fixed it while he was in office 4 years. All he wanted to do was build a wall which would have taken decades to do and never would have done anything to prevent the recent waves post-pandemic. He also promised to do all kinds of things via EOs that got overturned by the courts. Illegal immigration hit a 12 year high under Trump, that's a fact. There is no evidence anything he did or could do was going to slow it down.

Ermm ... somehow I don't think that family matter is quite enough to counterbalance the huge Trump dumpster of obvious "no-nos".

If you remember the things that Republicans and their news organization went absolutely crazy over, like Obama wearing a beige suit or when he was carrying a large Starbucks cup of coffee. Republicans have an irrational set of values and quirky things set off their anger.
