Re: Sad for Dr. Peterson
I was surprised how Marjorie Taylor-Greene insulted another member (Jasmine Crockett) about her false eyelashes the member responded "“bleach-blonde bad-built butch-body." When I have seen her attacking Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez one could see their different body shapes. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's reputation preceded her when at first Fox exposed a dance video. I don't think we will see Marjorie Taylor-Greene doing a dance video. It was jut a bunch of college students having fun but we know how Fox operates. But then people's shapes are different. I am an endomorph but not fat while my brother is a mesomorph. In social psychology you see how looks can matter and influence one's popularity. I would like to think it was more her attitudes rather than her looks that matter to make comment on. I did not think much until I remembered years ago being invited by a fellow worker to her birthday party for drinks. I went to the bar after work and the place was full of lesbians. I could tell which one was the dominant partner (not one dress). I kept my head down, don't smile, don't look. I can't understand how conservatives are against gay marriage and yet they support traditional marriage and they do it so often.

You should watch the Marjorie Taylor-Greene takedown by Hysteria on YouTube. It's epic.
We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.

The Interpreter donors would probably be upset if Dr. Peterson offered an opinion on Marjorie Taylor Greene.

It struck me not long ago that the problem we are having in the US is not just that a lot of regular folk are essentially illiterate. It’s that the illiteracy and lack of character reach all the way up the social, political, and economic ladders. Giving the wealthy an outsized say in our system means, these days, giving some lucky dolt like Mike Lindell or small-minded prig like Betsy DeVos a hand on the tiller. It’s a disaster. These people are lunatics and mediocrities. They are the kind of people who are running us into the ground. You can add Elon Musk to the list. Certainly Musk lacks prudence and character.

Half the population is below average intelligence, below average socioeconomic status, below average literacy. They’re being targeted with misinformation 24/7. They’re being targeted with emotional content designed to craft their opinions to benefit those with the money to buy the ads.Kishkumen wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2024 11:13 amIt struck me not long ago that the problem we are having in the US is not just that a lot of regular folk are essentially illiterate. Even people in the above average group are cementing themselves further into tribalism. Progressives feel uncomfortable criticizing Biden, Republicans want to string up any fellow conservative that criticizes Trump.
Nuanced balanced perspectives don’t excite people, don’t get their emotions pumping. People only have so many hours a day to watch content, and they’re choosing the exciting partisan stuff. It doesn’t matter if it’s misinformation, as long as it’s entertaining and confirms one’s preexisting biases and makes one feel like a member of the tribe.

All that is true. I feel powerless to do much about it, other than not join one of the tribes, which is relatively easy for me because I was never good at that anyway. But I am just one person.drumdude wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2024 3:18 pmHalf the population is below average intelligence, below average socioeconomic status, below average literacy.
