I don't understand. How does an attempted shooting increase the likelihood of Trump winning? I would assume the first would be like, he I'm ok. I'm strong. But I didn't see it so that's just what my assumption would be. I find it odd that this would change so much. It's not bidens fault someone tried to shoot Trump.

Husband said the bullet went in one ear and out the other so no permanent damage.

I'm not at all surprised that the shooter turned out to be an extremist, registered Republican. I thought from the beginning that this was more likely than that it was a Biden supporter.

Registered Republican that gave money to a Progressive cause on the day of Biden’s inauguration. Could be someone who was shaken up by Trump’s insurrection on January 6. I know I was.

Sad. Threw his life away. Tragic: his actions have markedly worsened the political divide in this country. Reprehensible: this was a reprehensible act, but one that comes out of a broken culture, one that clearly will not be fixed by our major parties.

I don’t think the blame belongs to one person or party. It belongs to us all (Trumpers and non-Trumpers) collectively for stoking the flames of division and hatred in our political discourse.

Yeah, I don’t think the blame will land on where you are trying to place it. If any opponent to Trump who is non-violent can be called a RINO by Trumpers, surely this kid’s technical affiliation will mean nothing to them.

No thank you. Did you mention January 6 to soothe your own feelings or to try to rationalize voting for the guy that repeated the debunked fine people hoax and suckers hoax in his dementia debate?

I am very sad for the innocent bystander who was recklessly slaughtered by the gunman. This person is the victim I most care about. No one should go to a rally and have their life stolen. Trump came out of this relatively unscathed by comparison.

I'm speculating that perhaps this shooter was a rightist extremist who decided that even Trump was not extremist enough to suit him.

Disgusting. I am shocked by this. It takes a lot to shock me. This did it.
Hopefully you get over it. A person ought not to be judged by a snapshot of what they say. I believe the gunman’s actions were reprehensible, and I said so.

I don’t think so. That January 20, 2021 donation would strongly suggest otherwise.
