Young LDS missionaries know the importance of completing a mission and having an RM after their name. They can find girls at BYU, drink the nectar of Satain, and wear goat leggings while partying. Non-missionaries have to do other stuff.

I see missionaries tracting on my side of town quite often. Sightings are probably 95%+ sisters missionaries. Might just be a demographic shift in who is going on missions. I figured it was because the Church has some marketing research that female missionaries still experience some level of success at getting the door opened on cold-knocking.

I have noticed a decline in the total number of missionaries that I see walking, riding bikes or driving. I also notice that of those I see, the proportion is now about 4:1 female to male sets of missionaries. Maybe this is due to my location--not merely my locale, but precisely where I spend most of my time in the city in which I live.Doctor Steuss wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2024 9:01 pmI see missionaries tracting on my side of town quite often. I am glad that I did not have to trudge through those 2 years competing against the Internet the way they do now. My discouragement level would have been off the charts.
