The idea that any deity protected and prevented a morally bankrupt, corrupt, unethical business-man with billions to his name from bullets because he's being 'used' to accomplish God's will is as preporsterous as God and Jesus Christ appearing to a con-man, scam-artist and sexual predator like Joe Smith to 'restore Christ's church'!

So likening the two preposterous assertions to one another might explain why 80% of Mormons over age 40 voted for Trump in 2020.BeNotDeceived wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 7:28 pmThe idea that any deity protected and prevented a morally bankrupt, corrupt, unethical business-man with billions to his name from bullets because he's being 'used' to accomplish God's will is as preporsterous as God and Jesus Christ appearing to a con-man, scam-artist and sexual predator like Joe Smith to 'restore Christ's church'!![]()

As human beings go, Trump is considerably more honorable than Joseph Smith.

How could it be that the Book of Revelations predicted that the head of the terrible beast would be wounded and yet recover, while all of the MAGA Morons for America would follow the terrible beast?
A terrible beast being wounded sounds too much like Donald Trump to be a coincidence. This is where it rains dogs and cats in Provo and the lamb lies down with the lion and is devoured.

How would Mormons frame it had it happened to Nelson?
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.
