And this is the man that President Russell M. Nelson, earth's spokesperson and representative for Jesus Christ, will be voting for.

Is there any compelling evidence that Russell M. Nelson is actually going to vote for Trump? If this is really true, I can't think of any more devastating disproof of him being divinely inspired by a benevolent deity, if such a thing exists. If President Nelson actually approves of voting for Trump, he is far more likely to be inspired by Satan than by God!

Consider what LDS leaders hae actually sais about election choices:

In Utah, especially among Mormons, what that means is just because there’s an ‘R’ [for Republican] beside their name doesn’t mean you need to vote for them,” Brunson said. “This one is really hard to ignore. It doesn’t say you should vote for a Democrat, by any means, but it very explicitly says just because they’re a Republican doesn’t mean that they’re the best person that you should vote for.”

Republicans are a supermajority in the Legislature and have won every statewide contest since 1998.

As in previous First Presidency letters, the latest directive reemphasizes the Church’s political neutrality and its encouragement for members to vote and participate in civic affairs. It also underscores the importance to be informed about issues and candidates and that some principles compatible with the gospel can be found in various political parties and platforms.

The letter also encourages members to study candidates carefully and to vote for those demonstrating integrity, compassion and service to others — regardless of party affiliation.

“Merely voting a straight ticket or voting based on ‘tradition’ without careful study of the candidates and their positions on important issues is a threat to democracy and inconsistent with revealed standards,” the letter states, citing Doctrine and Covenants 98:10 and adding that information on candidates is available through the internet, debates and other sources.

The sentence I emboldened above should by itself dissuade any Mormon who is both honest and well-informed from even beginning to seriously consider voting for Trump! It only becomes more and more glaringly obvious that Trump cares for virtually nothing that benefits anyone or anything other than himself.

Did the brethren write this after we got our first unelected/appointed presidential candidate at too late a date for her to post an actual platform? If she's running on the Biden record of the last four years, than how is she a candidate for positive change? Perhaps for most of you change means unapologetic left wing democratic socialism that was so radical it couldn't survive the Democratic primary of 2020, let alone a general election. What has she adopted from Joe Biden? Now she knows it's best to lie and tell people you're a moderate in very broad and undefinable terms, before you govern like a left wing Democrat. But always protect the identity of whatever elected official is really making the decisions in the oval office. Lie and tell the American people that Joe Biden is fit as a fiddle and doing 4D chess, when he belongs in a nursing home and has the entire 4 years!. He's the man you want negotiating with Putin or Xi on behalf of America. Why didn't they do that four years ago? We know that gasoline is twice as much as it was under Trump. If Harris is elected it'll likely go back to where it went under Biden in 2021. But more importantly how much better off is the climate given the price we've paid for it under Democrat rule for 12 of the last 16 years. How much cooler is the earth since the Solyndra green energy boondoggle?

Well isn't that what they've been promising for the past four years? How well has this approach worked over the past four years? Or better yet, why wait until after the next election to put this new plan into place instead of just talking about it and making promises? Because it's just the same failed policies being sold by a different face. Moving forward? This is going to be just as bad or worse than the last four years have been. And I'm sorry but even if only forty percent of people are really going to pull the lever for this obvious line of BS, we deserve the suffering that is coming our way because of it.
