Re: Did you know of the Harris-Trump Debate?
Trump has stated repeatedly that polls showed him winning the debate by incredible numbers. This of course was simply more of Trump being a pathological liar. His base loves it when he does that.

Re: Did you know of the Harris-Trump Debate?
The debate was meaningless - At this point, no minds will be changed - People have already decided which choice they believe will be the best choice for the country.
What was meaningful was to see another example of how utterly broken our media is. Those moderators were horrible, and I believe an ever-growing number of American citizens are disgusted by this openly bias and corrupt nonsense.
Just my take.

Re: Did you know of the Harris-Trump Debate?
In what way 'horrible'? Trump and his team agreed to the rules for this debate, which included real-time fact-checking by the moderators.
And that's just what the moderators did. Are you complaining about the moderators having to do a lot more fact-checking of Trump than they did of Harris? But things were that way simply because Trump made many more clearly dubious or false claims than did Harris - ranging from immigrants eating people's pets to Democrats planning the execution of babies who have already been born full-term, on the mere whim of [somebody or other - I don't think Trump made that clear]. What did you expect the moderators to do - let that kind of nonsense pass without pointing out to the audience that it simply was not true?
Here is ABC's list of the fact-checking they did. Needless to say, the moderators did not say anything when they found a claim made by Trump or Harris to be substantially true. If it was not, however, they pointed it out. And there were a lot more of those that came from Trump than from Harris:

Re: Did you know of the Harris-Trump Debate?
Surely you have some MD friends who you could talk to about this.
"After birth abortion" is already illegal. It's call infanticide. It's illegal in all 50 states. It's a federal crime. Kamala Harris likely prosecuted cases of infanticide while AG.
Good gravy.
Every single Democrat bill regarding abortion (or at least every one I've skimmed) has placed a limit at viability. I shared the text of one to you earlier this year. That viability always includes advanced medical intervention. If a baby can live with advanced medical intervention, then that intervention is provided. Babies can't sign DNRs.
Late term abortions (which account for 1% at most of abortions) are almost exclusively reserved for situations where there is a fatal anomaly, and carrying the pregnancy to term is pointless. Why would you want a woman to be forced to carry a baby to term that's going to die within minutes of birth? Why would you want to force the woman and baby to suffer? That's monstrous. There are plenty of real world examples of women who have nearly died, or who now have life-altering medical complications because they were denied care in places like Idaho because people believe idiotic nonsense like "after birth abortion" and have legislated with their idiocy.
Since you appear to be pro-life though, I assume Trump's saying he'll use socialism to make the government pay to kill more embryos every year than are currently killed by abortion, has caused him to finally lose your support?
ETA: Here's one such instance where a woman had to endure a miscarriage for 19 days (19 DAYS!!!) because of the willful ignorance and abject cruelty that have become a cornerstone to MAGA and the fearmongering lies that people choose (and yes, it's a choice) to believe. She did an update the other day on TikTok because of the new round of ignorant nonsense following the debate of people trying to defend their god-Emperor, Lord Trump. She has a permanent heart condition now. Not only the emotional and physical trauma from MAGA idiocy in legislated form, but now a permanent disability that will inhibit her for life.

Obviously, Trump, as the Conservative Christian (TM) Presidential candidate, lied about Haitians in order to inspire Conservative Christians (TM) to help feed the stranger. I mean, what other reason could a Conservative Christian (TM) Presidential candidate have, for lying about brown people other than to inspire Christian love and charity for the stranger?Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 2:29 pmAre you and your neighbors on the lookout for dog and cat eaters? I've certainly seen plenty of love for starving immigrants in my Facebook feed by MAGA Christians following Trump's latest xenophobic racist lie. Oh, wait...

Yeah, at best, that was a really bizarre claim by Trump.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 2:29 pmAre you and your neighbors on the lookout for dog and cat eaters? I think Trump clearly lost this debate, but just like the last debate between Trump and Biden, it doesn't matter. These debates are meaningless, and they don't sway anyone. They just make each side dig in deeper.

Well he shouldn't have spoken about it until it becomes more widespread. Mitt Romney looked pretty foolish in 2012 when Obama told him that the 1980s called and wanted their foreign policy back when he expressed concerns about Russia invading Crimea and then Ukraine.Yeah, at best, that was a really bizarre claim by Trump.
Until people have their own pets eaten more often, they'll just laugh at this kind of stuff. But make no mistake. It's happening. It happened in Holland (once the land of the swans). The gypsies came through, wrung their necks, and fried them up. Any missionary who has been to the Phillipines has probably had to eat a dog. I can't blame them. They're starving. But don't think it isn't going to become more common in little towns with a population of 60,000 people who now have another 30,000 Hatian immigrants to provide for, especially if grocery stores continue to suffer that same urge to price gouge that they seem to only suffer under Democrat administrations.
I'm kind of excited for moving on out of the medicaid mill for all these years. Unfortunately our owner, a democrat but ironically a very practical and successful businessman who paid his junior ODs more than fairly and based on production not my race, gender, or politics, never had to see the damage done when the Haitians came through and took over the restrooms. Good bye to any paper towels, toilet paper, or cleaning supplies that may have been left there. Everything was under lock and key. Eventually picking out a frame for your glasses became impossible because that was under lock and key as well. I'm free to speak the truth on that. But yes Ben Shapiro agrees with you Ceeboo. True or not, this statement was not at all helpful, unnecessary, and inappropriate for our objective of saving the country. Even so, Donald Trump has sacrificed the business he built and will spend the rest of his life in jail for being willing to tell hard truths like this. Nobody else before him was ever willing to stand up for the American taxpayer on this border issue until he did in 2016 because they knew free speech and impartial justice did not exist in this country.

And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Yeah, I don't see much point in Republicans debating 1 on 3 going forward. These debates aren't helping to inform the voter. Since ABC refused to do it's job and nail down Kamala's platform and what she's about, I'm going to post it here. I don't consider it offensive because I'm sure most on this board are far enough left that it should reassure them that she is indeed only faking a little to the middle before she takes power.I think Trump clearly lost this debate, but just like the last debate between Trump and Biden, it doesn't matter. KAMALA ON THE ECONOMY
“Prices have gone up, and families and individuals are dealing with the realities of, of, that bread costs more, that gas costs more. And we have to understand what that means. That’s about the cost of living going up – that’s about having to stress and stretch limited resources. That’s about a source of stress for families that is not only economic, but is on a daily level, something that is a heavy weight to carry. So, it is something that we take very seriously.”
“But there is also a point that is important to make on the Build Back Better framework. One, it is designed to make it less expensive for working people to live. It was specifically designed to bring down the cost of child care and increase accessibility and availability. Designed to bring down the cost of elder care, and make it available to all those working families that need that support and need that help. And Build Back Better is not going to cost anything, we’re paying for it. So when we can get Build Back Better passed, and we are optimistic that we will, the American people will see costs actually reduced around some of the most essential services that they need to take care of their basic responsibilities, including issues like child care, and elder care, and also preschool.”
“We’ve got to increase the corporate tax rate, we also have to increase taxes for the top one percent, and part of that is going to be about repealing that tax bill they just passed. And also looking at estate taxes are going to have to go up.”
“But yet, of course, there were the naysayers, and they said, of course, ‘Well how are you gonna pay for that?’ You know, that’s what I heard. Well, I’ll tell you guys how we’re gonna pay for that, on day one we’re repealing that tax bill benefiting the top one percent.”
Just tax the rich, how well did that policy work?
KAMALA ON THE BORDER AND IMMIGRATION
KAMALA HARRIS: At some point, you know, we are going to the border, we’ve been to the border. So, this whole, this whole, this whole thing about the border, we’ve been to the border, we’ve been to the border.
LESTER HOLT: You haven’t been to the border.
KAMALA HARRIS: And I haven’t been to Europe.
On her work dealing with the “root causes” of mass migration at our southern border: “I am meeting with a lot of folks, and the work that we have begun is the work that is going to be ongoing. There is no question, and I said this from the very beginning, that our approach to this issue has to be with a commitment to a long-term investment, and it has to be a commitment to consistency. The United States has to be consistent. There were times when we were more engaged, and we saw good results. Less engaged, and we can see where the work and the partnerships then deteriorate. So, I am committed to ensuring that we engage in an active way on the root causes, on addressing the cause and effect, and also being partners in the Western Hemisphere, understanding that we have a responsibility, and if we ignore that responsibility, it will visit itself upon us in a very domestic way.”
“We don’t need to build a wall. This is a crisis of [Trump’s] own making. And by definition, just plainspeak, basic English language definition, it is not an emergency. What’s gonna end up happening is that he will end up, without any question, if he proceeds, we’re gonna be looking at a situation where, in particular, home owners and land owners in places like New Mexico and Texas are probably gonna look at government taking their land. We’re looking at military resources being focused, again, on the president’s vanity project?”
“This is irresponsible. It’s the height of irresponsibility for the commander in chief to suggest that we have to build a wall across our southern border because there are terrorists who are trying to invade the country. It couldn’t be farther from the truth.”
“We have a President of the United States who’s created a fiction about a crisis at the border, and he has held up the United States government and its workers around his vanity project called a wall.”
“We cannot continue to have an administration and a President of the United States who puts his vanity projects ahead of the needs of the people of our country. And let me just be more clear about that, I’ve been the border. I prosecuted transnational criminal organizations. The idea that he is trying to say that we have people that are trying to invade our country to commit mass crime is a crisis of his own making. You talk with the people who’ve taken oath to protect our border, and they will tell you the trafficking that is happening of drugs and guns coming into our country, it’s happening at ports of entry. We don’t need a multi-billion dollar wall. That wall ain’t gonna stop them. We need resources at our ports of entry. And, of course, we need to have border security, but this is a crisis of his own making because it was a campaign pledge that took heat and propelled him to victory, and he feels the need to keep reciting what is a lie.”
Statement made three days after Laken Riley was murdered by an illegal immigrant: “We have a secure border.”
“I’ll tell you, having done the work I’ve done, it is undocumented immigrants [are] the least likely to commit a crime.”
“An undocumented immigrant is not a criminal, and we have to correct course in this conversation.”
“It is wrong to somehow suggest that an undocumented immigrant is a criminal.”
“We are not going to treat people who are undocumented [and] cross the borders criminals.”
On decriminalizing illegal border crossing: “I would not make it a crime punishable by jail. It should be a civil enforcement issue, but not a criminal enforcement issue.”
On whether she would close immigration detention centers: “Absolutely, on day one.”
“I support [California’s] sanctuary law, and I also recognize that we got a place that became highly publicized where we strayed from it. And so we needed to get back on track, pardon the overuse of that term, so that we would comply with the law in a way that recognizes we can support the sanctuary ordinance and also obey and follow federal law.”
“I intend to fight for a state that has the largest number of immigrants, documented and undocumented, of any state in this country, and do everything we can to bring them justice and dignity and fairness under the law, and pass comprehensive immigration reform. Bring them out from under the shadows!”
On abolishing ICE: “I think there’s no question that we’ve got to critically reexamine ICE and its role, and the way that it is being administered, and the work it is doing. And we need to probably think about starting from scratch, because there’s a lot that is wrong with the way that it is conducting itself, and we need to deal with that.”
“When we pass comprehensive immigration reform in this country, California will benefit within years by $5 billion and 600,000 jobs. It’s just the right thing to do, it’s the smart thing to do, and we will all benefit from it. Let’s stop doing ‘us’ and ‘them.’ Let’s bring all of these folks out of the shadows, into the sun light.”
On benefits for illegal aliens: “Let me just be very clear about this, I am opposed to any policy that would deny, in our country, any human being from access to public safety, public education, or public healthcare. Period.”
Sex changes for illegal immigrants? Really Ajax? You're not a serious person.
Why do you bother posting all of this dumb crap as if anyone reads it but you? You reveal time and time again you are entirely dependent on the fake news of Brietbart to tell you what to believe, and cannot deal with any point by point discussion that requires you to actually think.
