I dunno guys, I'm starting to think that maybe Trump hasn't been completely honest with us about having a perfect, big beautiful healthcare plan to replace the Affordable Care Act.

On a similar note, the Republican roadmap for Trump's Presidency plans on getting rid of the legislation that allowed the Federal Government to negotiate prescription prices for the first time in history. In the first round of negotiations, the Biden administration has saved the government and American citizens billions of dollars a year. Maybe one of our resident Trumplicans can help me understand the hatred for government fiscal responsibility and people saving money?

People don't invest millions and millions to get drugs FDA approved for free or by tinkering around in their homeworkshops. Just like rent control has lead to a housing shortage, price caps on medications will lead to lower quality medications. But since we'll all be stuck with the same crappy medical care, we'll be equal and perhaps that's all that the communists want anyway. They'd rather live in an ugly Soviet apartment than have to endure feelings of envy that occur when you see someone with a nice house and yard across the street.

There was an extensive non-partisan analysis completed on how many newly innovated drugs would not come to market as a result of the negotiations, as part of the process before the bill even made it to a vote. I'm sure you already read that analysis prior to making this embarrassingly ill-informed post, and it just slipped your mind.
