“Fascist to the core.”

Post by Doctor CamNC4Me »

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/ar-AA1s6KQ9
Mark Milley, the US Army general who Donald Trump appointed as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, now says the current Republican presidential nominee is a “fascist to the core” and says no person has ever posed more of a danger to the United States than the man who served as the 45th President of the United States.
The direct quote:
”He is the most dangerous person ever. I had suspicions when I talked to you about his mental decline and so forth, but now I realize he’s a total fascist. He is now the most dangerous person to this country,” he said.

“A fascist to the core,” Milley repeated.
Surely the men and women of good conscience can set aside their differences for another day to defeat this common enemy of American democracy? Surely?

The times we get to live through where a potential electoral majority believes the moral integrity of the country is on the ballot this November, and the bigger threat isn't the "fascist". Or even may feel offended that the f-word is being used here.

I think Republicans have yearned for a total fascist rule for some time. They know what they are getting from Trump and believe that is what America deserves.

Ever since Republicans saw the movie Schindler's List, they realized there was money to be made under fascism (especially with the winning bribes to party officials - much like the Republicanism of today) they were sold.

A few uninteresting facts about the movie Schindlers list: Both of the main actors tried to distance themselves from the movie. Liam, attempting to shed the pacifist persona became a 70 year old action movie hero with such flix as Taken, Nonstop, and something about a snow plow driving avenger. Each more unwatchable than the previous.

Ralph changed the pronunciation of his name (but not the spelling) to 'Rafe', to try to be not typecast as a sociopathic deathcamp warden to gain pacifist roles like, Constant gardener and The Reader. Again, not watchable.

What can we do as simple citizens to prepare for the coming fascist takeover? I can imagine weeklong pogroms throughout Utah eliminating the "progressive" element (sorry John Dehlin), but I doubt it will be as bad as certain parts of the country.

I live in bright red Utah County and remember the big Trump truck rally four years ago. Four-by-fours, Trump flags, and aggressive white males. It was kind of intimidating, especially for folks like me driving more eco friendly vehicles with Biden stickers. I can see this happening again. I can also imagine groupthink getting out of hand.

According to a recent poll, voters nationwide are very worried about political violence (73 percent).

It's surreal that the vice-president (Mike Pence), chief of staff (John Kelly), national security advisor (John Bolton), secretary of defense (Mark Esper), and chairman of the Joint Chiefs who served under Trump are all saying he's unfit for the job. That does not happen. Pence, Kelly, Bolton, and Esper are all very right-wing people who presumably would prefer the corpse of Ronald Reagan over a President Harris. As a former officer in the military, Milley very much does not want to get involved in politics (I read an interesting article last year about his struggles to remain apolitical when Trump wouldn't allow him to, though unfortunately it's behind a paywall). But they all know Trump is a danger to the nation and its constitution, and they're trying to sound the alarm.

That is what will ensure a Trump victory. Republicans are answering the call of cosmic karma. Mormons believe this fascism is what makes Trump the "One mighty and strong".

Right wingers don't seem to realize is that if you go left far enough on the political spectrum in America you start finding people who have as many guns as right wingers. They just don't gloat about it.
