Your DEI and inclusiveness is touching. "Why can't we patronize Ceeboo more?" Hound, leader of the DM HR department asks, with a quaking voice.
I will point out one thing to you, the rules of this forum get applied unevenly as heck for a lot of reasons. It's totally in your control to change it. All you have to do is report the posts where the insults are happening and the mods will nearly certainly deal with them. You can assume mods are intervening unevenly, and it's due to bias, which is of course possible, but it also can be due to who is reporting offenses.
If you have reported a post and it wasn't dealt with, bring it up to Shades directly, and it's nearly 100% likely the problem will be fixed.
This.
We’re not exactly a ‘busy’ board, but there’s enough activity to make monitoring of every post not possible at all moments. The ‘report’ feature overcomes that.
Also, words referring to
intercourse or
rectal evacuation seem to have a long history of use on this board and an outright ban on their use has never been imposed. Personally, I’d prefer that folks don’t go overboard with their use, though, and have edited some posts in past days where the point seemed merely to press the issue or to take advantage of the board’s’ history of not employing overly-strict moderation.
That said,
context, content and intent still factor into any decision to moderate a post, regardless if reported. Attempting to establish rigid rules that conform universally to every contribution is a fool’s errand and results in bad actors attempting ‘rule lawyering’ or trying to
game the system. It’s not like we haven’t seen that before, and won’t continue to see it, even now.
