The Great Biden Distraction

I can't remember the moment I realized talking to Trump fans was a useless endeavor. It might even have been before Trump was in politics, when these people were just rudderless liars.

You can't have a rational conversation with irrational people. You can't have an honest conversation with dishonest people. You can't have a smart conversation with stupid people. You can't have a good faith conversation with bad faith people.

These are my main takeaways from talking to GOP voters.

For every person, there comes a time when they have to choose between the tribe and human decency. Sometimes people fail to make the right decision, but I hope they rethink their bad decisions. Doubling down shows that someone really needs the tribe badly. Rethinking takes courage. I respect people who have the wisdom and the courage to stand on correct principles and refuse to back the tribe to protect their sense of identity.

If you remember back to the Democratic primary for the presidential election of 2020, you can find quotes of Democrats pointing out Joe Biden's mental decline and unfitness for being president as early as 2018. This lasted until the field narrowed down to Biden and Bernie Sanders. At this point anyone who questioned Biden's cognitive health was subject to vicious ad hominem attacks, the same way Kishkumen does with Markk on this board.

Once the Democratic establishment stole the primary election from comrade Bernie Sanders, the party and the media circled the wagons. Jake Tapper tried to shame Lara Trump as doing psychological damage to children with a stutter on national television in front of the handful of people who still trust CNN. This type of public ad hominem defamation continued as Karine Jean Pierre attacked conservative media in 2024 for playing clips of Biden aimlessly walking around and looking off into space while representing the US in a memorial day ceremony as "Cheap Fakes." Or perhaps when she attacked Robert Hurr for giving Biden a pass on mishandling classified documents because he just wasn't mentally fit to stand trial. Only after the election did Democrats ever release the tapes showing just how far gone Biden was. What boggles the mind is that this same Jake Tapper can write a book and get paid millions of dollars claiming that he somehow uncovered the truth about Biden's mental condition and hidden cancer diagnosis through tough investigative journalism, when he like anyone else with eyes and ears knew and was running cover for Biden all along. Now if Jake Tapper were really sorry for lying to the American people to help his side win an election, he'd have apologized to Lara Trump publicly, but of course that will never happen. Jake Tapper simply realized that the election is over, the Democrats lost, so why not make some money by letting out the truth. And has it ever made money! How is this possible? Are Democrats so far from reality in their insulated bubble that they really didn't know about Biden's cognitive decline? While most Democrats firmly believe that lying about Biden's mental state, censoring inconvenient news stories through government force, or even arresting and imprisoning their political opponents is perfectly fine so long as it helps their election efforts and preserves their great welfare state and enslavement of the working American taxpayer, why would anyone trust what the mainstream media has to say as truth at this point?

This is whataboutism, another predictable tactic. But it's not the point I'm making. The point is that neither truth nor justice are a priority for Democrats when their political power is at stake. They'll tell any lie and break any rule to obtain and keep political power. Ultimately that's the only thing they value. Honesty, justice, women's rights, economic equality, global warming, and even loyalty amongst themselves are all distant second priorities to obtaining and keeping political power. One must keep that in mind when deciding whether or not to believe what comes out of their mouths.

It has nothing to do with whether leftists in the media aren't as politically nonpartisan as they think. The reason Joe Biden's cognitive decline is a scandal is because it proves that the media and the Democrat party was lying and deliberately misleading the voting public the entire time and therefore should not be trusted as a source of truth.

It's obvious Biden wasn't really the president due to cognitive decline and it was obvious that he was suffering this prior to 2020, yet I suspect the powers that be wanted a war with Ukraine and Biden's cronies were heavily involved with Ukraine since at least before the 2014 coup we championed. We have the 25th amendment that certain media were suggesting as a way to remove Trump during his first term and they went silent during Biden's term. Gotta support the team I guess.

I often wonder what would have happened if Biden had gone back to OPEC and tried to undo them taking advantage of Trump's idiocy.

With Trump's mouth-breathing double-cross with Syria being the likely primary impetus, I think OPEC would have been open to a new deal. Instead, Biden, et.al. decided to let Trump's disastrous and moronic deal sunset, and allowed it to drastically contribute to inflation all the way through the middle of 2022. Overlaying inflation charts with OPEC 2020 really helps show just how much of global inflation was because of a singular instance of the "deal maker" displaying the statesmanship and negotiating prowess of a potato, and Biden going with a myopic US-Go-It-Alone strategy of "drill-baby-drill" (actually drilling, instead of just chanting it as a slogan).
