Re: Zohran Mamdani D Nominee for NYC Mayor
Thank you! But before you do so, please answer my second question, which was this:
So, why should we care about the Democratic primary winner for the mayor of New York as opposed to any other municipality in any other state?

This is April, and on her YouTube channel, she consistently dismantles the Marxist progressive narrative. In this video, she discusses how a local municipality in a city other than New York attempted to open a government-owned grocery store, which ultimately failed miserably within two years! Not only did it fail, continuing to do so year after year, but the interior of the store also began to emit an odor of xxit. The residents in the area now have access to a government-operated grocery store that has an unpleasant odor and features empty shelves devoid of food.
This scenario is precisely what will occur in New York if radical communist Zohran Mamdani is elected as Mayor. However, the example I provided is irrelevant and will likely be disregarded because, for radical Marxist progressives, government is seen as the solution, despite the repeated evidence that government often poses the problem. Progressives seem to embrace suffering, chaos, and inefficiency. They require it to sense that their life holds significance.

Using Community Builders of Kansas City, a non-profit, as proof that all public-sector solutions are doomed is lazy and and incredibly myopic. Have you ever seen a private store close its doors, too? How about in poor areas where profit margins are slim? Municipal stores often step in precisely because private chains refuse to serve those communities. Pointing to an isolated example with empty shelves and bad smells doesn’t make a policy argument; it’s just emotional rage bait. Labeling progressive politicians as “radical communists” is fear-mongering, not serious thinking. Progressives develop policies with the aim to address real inequities through democratic means. If we judged capitalism by its worst outcomes, we’d never stop listing bankruptcies and exploitation.

What about the death of a MAGA farm? What does that say?Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Fri Jul 25, 2025 11:45 amUsing Community Builders of Kansas City, a non-profit, as proof that all public-sector solutions are doomed is lazy and and incredibly myopic. Mamdani’s idea was to open one store per borough. That’s not much of a socialist takeover. The US Defense Commissary Agency runs well over 200 military commissaries on US bases, so I guess that Hound has the same problem with our military.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Fri Jul 25, 2025 11:45 amUsing Community Builders of Kansas City, a non-profit, as proof that all public-sector solutions are doomed is lazy and and incredibly myopic. Given the typical margins for grocery stores, there’s probably not much room to improve prices, but a strategically-placed store can help reduce the ‘food desert’ problem that some parts of the city have.
How odd that MAGA keeps using government power like a sledge to solve its own ‘problems’, including trying to pound colleges and universities into submission for not spouting MAGA propaganda frequently enough.… for radical Marxist progressives, government is seen as the solution, despite the repeated evidence that government often poses the problem

Indeed.
From: https://www.americanfarmlandowner.com/p ... -rise-2025
… “Farmer profitability remains a significant concern within the farmland sector. Year-to-date in 2025, Chapter 12 bankruptcy filings have surged by nearly 70% compared to the same period in 2024,” Kendrick posted on LinkedIn.
Kendrick sees further economic hardship for farmers unless the Trump administration and Congress provide support.
“Unless additional ad hoc support payments are introduced this year, I anticipate that the number of filings will continue to rise,” he wrote.
The American Farm Bureau Federation warned in February about the increase in farm bankruptcies in from 2023-2014. Associate Economist Samatha Ayoub noted an increase of 55% from the previous year, which reflected the strain on family farmers after a second straight year of declining farm incomes.
Ayoub’s analysis also keyed in on the struggles by region, especially for row crop producers.
“Row crop markets have experienced sharp decreases in cash receipts for three years, with expected further declines of over 4% and 6% in corn and soybean receipts, respectively, in 2025,” Ayoub wrote.
“Cotton had a nearly 24% decrease in cash receipts in 2024 but is the only major row crop forecast to post an increase in cash receipts in 2025. Chapter 12 bankruptcies lag declines in farm income as farms must exhaust their ability to pay back debt before filing,” she added.
Ayoub also noted Congress’ failure to agree on a new Farm Bill, which added to financial pressures for some producers. “It is likely that the downward trend in net farm market returns, combined with even longer-term declines in government payments in 2024 due to an outdated farm bill, drove more farmers in the Grain Belt and South to their last resort of farm bankruptcy in 2024.”
