No matter that LDS women of the past missed out on current fashion, at least LDS young women in Utah no longer have to be turned away from their Junior Prom for wearing sleeveless dresses.

Elders can start to tie their arms to the pews when their Little Factories get overexcited due to shoulders, or at least borrow one of their wives' valium capsules. The Young Women can help each other by being on the lookout for the coveting elders.

It seems fairly common.
Although we should also recognize that many many men who are members of the LDS Church are honest and well-intentioned. It might be more appropriate to direct your ire/complaint specifically towards church policies, leadership, or cultural norms, not individual Mormon men.

That does them a disservice.

A good Mormon man might be called to be a bishop. Then he is told that he needs to interview teens and, when alone with a teen, ask about sex and masturbation. The Mormon scheme is what can make a good person do bad things.

Some years back, that would have been looked at as a perk of the job, now you are suggesting it is a gateway to mortal sin. I am guessing it is still looked at as a perk of the job, but the bishops must be more cautious with their questions so as not to be overly obvious.

I was actually wondering if this is still a policy of the LDS church. I guess it still is?

Are men's shoulders/arm pits so sexually arousing that such yet to be covered, but women's don't?

Is the LDS Church gaslighting the "sisters" by claiming now that it never required them to cover their shoulders/arm pits?

I understand the feelings of those Mormon women who feel betrayed. They either blindly followed the guidance without thinking this through for themselves, like many Mormons do on a whole host of issues. And/or there was Mormon societal pressure not to show "porn shoulders". I wonder how many of these Mormon women who feel betrayed are now regretting having followed that directive and are starting to evaluate their entire subservient relationship to the Brethren? Issues like these cause distrust. One must wonder, are the FP/12 really receiving signals from the divine or just making this $hit up as they go along, and so what else will be loosened up in the next year or two that God (if there is such an entity) has never cared about, but are matters of preference of the personalities of the FP/12.

When do you think we'll see garmies with plunging necklines, or backless ones?

Maybe with underwires?

Ha ha ha. I don't about that, but the Big 15 should be quite alarmed by a trend among those TBMs under 30. A large portion of them now only wear garments to Sunday church services and the temple. The rest of the time? Real world underwear or commando.
