This is apparently from Brussels and seems legitimate. I don't know if this has been recorded from a leader in modern times and it seems to legitimize current polygamist sects while simultaneously hiding under the temporary commandments ruse. I like the idea that we each have a different heavenly mother. This maximizes the sexual variety for the Alpha Chad Mormon God. Conceiving with the same woman for all 20 billion spirit children has to be so boring.

This appears to be a recent, “covert” recording of Oaks. He looks and sounds terrible. When (if?) he takes over from Nelson his tenure won’t be very long. The Church has commanded people not to record The Apostles when they are speaking - because they know it usually ends up with an embarrassing snippet. Like in the case with this one and Oaks. Was he speaking as a Prophet, Seer, and Revelator, ushering in the idea of multiple wives (which he has already signed up to), or was he speaking as a man? You only get to find out later on depending on the fallout.

Except top modern Mormon leaders have not said it directly over the pulpit. In the recent past they seemed to have distanced themselves from eternal polygamy despite the fact the top two leaders are practicing sealed to two women.

This is one of those well known problematic but still current doctrines that most leaders are wise enough not to say out loud. A big yikes on this.
