Donald Trump is pissed at Biden for appointing Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell
On November 2, 2017, President Trump nominated Jerome H. Powell to serve as the Fed’s next Chair for a four-year term
federalreservehistory.org
The Senate Committee approved the nomination in early December 2017, and the full Senate confirmed Powell on January 23, 2018, with a substantial majority vote of 84–13

Powell officially assumed the role on February 5, 2018, succeeding Janet Yellen

So Trump, not Biden, picked Powell in late 2017. He was confirmed in January 2018 and then sworn in at the start of February 2018.

Some might think that Trump is simply lying when he says that Biden appointed Powell. That would be pretty bad, I agree - a President who deliberately tells a lie to the American people.Philo Sofee wrote: ↑Thu Jul 17, 2025 4:28 amSo Trump, not Biden, picked Powell in late 2017. But I think it is worse. The US currently has a President whose consciousness coasts along with a very short horizon, with very little recognition or recollection of things that happened some time ago, even major events for which he was primarily responsible. He quite genuinely has no recall of having appointed Powell.
And this guy is followed everywhere by an unobtrusive official with a bag carrying the nuclear launch codes ... does that help you sleep easy at nights?

Trump has dementia, so someone with dementia appointed the fed chair.
Must have been Biden. I'm sure my stupid base will see it the same way I do.

It's interesting how he can lie and tell the truth at the same time.Doctor Steuss wrote: ↑Thu Jul 17, 2025 3:26 pmIt was like when he was calling whoever did the existing trade deal with Canada an idiot.

The dumbest, laziest president in history: Donald J. Trump.

One of the rascally things with Trump is that between him being pathologically dishonest, and a moron, it's difficult to tell when things are signs of cognitive decline.
When you're starting with a room temp IQ, that's nearly incapable of telling the truth... how do you know when you go lower than the rock bottom which is the default position?
Like his story about his uncle telling him about teaching the Unabomber. His uncle died at least a decade before Kaczynski was identified as the Unabomber, and Kaczynski never studied at MIT. So, is this a sign of cognitive decline, where Trump's brain is manufacturing stories outside of reality? Or is this a juxtaposition of him being a pathological liar and too much of a moron to craft believable lies?

That is sad indeed. And even his supporters on this forum know full well that they can't come close to credibly denying Trump's decades long history of fraud, and exhaustively documented lying, and yet they still regard him as their only beacon of truth and honesty! It is incomprehensible to me how they can continue to do that!Philo Sofee wrote: ↑Thu Jul 17, 2025 11:44 pm"How sad it must be that believing scientists, historians and scholars, economists and journalists have devoted their whole lives deceiving you, while a reality tv star with decades of fraud and exhaustively documented lying is your only beacon of truth and honesty" - Neil DeGrasse TysonSome Schmo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 17, 2025 5:04 pm
It's interesting how he can lie and tell the truth at the same time.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.
